Review │ Brightside bubble bar by Lush

Today's post is on the Brightside bubble bar from Lush.

If you have been reading my posts about Lush then you will know that the Comforter bubble bar is my absolute favourite, but if they ever discontinue that bubble bar and keep brightside, I know i'll be covered on the bubble bar front because this is my second favourite and it's no surprise why. With vivid colours and a beautiful scent to match, this bubble bar has a high score for me. When I use it, I feel like I have been transported to another world with sun shining and cocktails on the beach, this bubble bar is the whole embodiment of the citrus smell from Lush for me. With an amazing uplifting scent dominated by tangarine oil and the cleansing, uplifting agents of Bergamot Oil it is no wonder that this bubble bar is a faviourite amongst Lush addicts like myself.

When this bubble bar first came on the scent at Lush I was reluctant to try it just in case it replaced the comforter for me and I felt that I was cheating on my old faithful bubble bar by purchasing it, but I just couldn't give up the chance to try a new product, so I bought it, took it home to try and I was blown away by it. This bubble bar started out as part of the Easter range 2013 but they brought it back a year later and because it became such a top seller they decided to keep it as a regular product, and boy am I glad they did! Although this is an amazing bubble bar, the comforter still comes out on top for me so I was relieved that I loved this but didn't replace my go to bubble bar. Enough about the comforter though, right? This post is all about the beautifully vivid bubble bar that is Brightside.

From the get go you can smell the amazing scent of brightside, as soon as you pick it up the smell is attacking your nostrils and embedding itself into memory so that you will get familiar with this bubble bar and want to buy it, well that's how my experience of discovering it went. When it comes to using Brightside the scent does not disappear or fade what so ever, if anything I feel that when you put this product in the water that the smell just pops more. I hardly use any of the product as you will know if you have read any of my bubble bar reviews such as Karma or Creamy Candy and I still get an amazing scent that fills the bathroom, so could you imagine just how wonderful the room would smell if I used a lot more? I would be in heaven! The scent also clings to you after the bath, I have found myself going to sleep and still getting hints of Tangerine on my skin, its beautiful and that is a big plus. The citrusy, zesty smell of this bubble bar isn't too over powering which is great because sometimes if something is a bit too citrusy I can be put right off of the products, I feel like Lush have really managed to balance out the fragrance on this one and for that, they are amazing.

This bubble bar is a great size for the money, coming in at £4.75 per bar I would say it is incredibly budget friendly as you can get a good amount of uses out of it before you have to buy another. They great thing about Lush bubble bars for me is that, they last me forever, like I can use the same one for up to a month and a half. Ok, I don't like a lot of bubble but I still do get a generous amount of bubble for the amount of product I use which is defiantly saying something. This bubble bar turns your whole bath a beautiful bright orange and when used with any other yellow based product from Lush such as Fizzbanger or Skydancer then the bath turns a beautiful colour of gold (well, that's how it looks to me) I feel like I am royalty when I make a combination of products like that.

Ok, so now onto what it does for your skin. This bubble bar has Tangerine oil infused into it which gives you an amazing smell but can also help reduce the appearance of scars or stretch marks, so if you are like me and have a few stretch marks on your body that you like to keep soothed, then this bubble bar is definitely for you. This bubble bar helps to relieve stress and leave you feeling uplifted after a day long, hard day. I always use this bubble bar when I need a good soak in the tub and to forget about the grinds of the day. Not only does the scent help you de-stress the beautiful colour helps to uplift you mood.

For me this bubble bar has it all, scent, look and amazing ingredients to help your skin and your mood. I would honestly recommend this to anyone who wants a bit of a mood boost, and here is a tip: use it in a morning bath along with fizzbanger to give you a great kick start to your long day.

So what do Lush say? "When you’re chewing on life’s gristle, don’t grumble, give a whistle! Hop in the bath with one of these uplifting bubble bars, Sicilian mandarin, bergamot and tangerine essential oils to help you look on the bright side of life! Its jazzy bright colours will create magnificent orange bath water, and the sunny citrus fragrance is sure to leave you jolly and refreshed."
