Favourite Christmas Movies.

11:00:00

At this time of year there's nothing I love more than snuggling up with some hot chocolate and sticking on a Christmas movie. There's something about winter and Christmas fast approaching that turns me into a festive movie fanatic. I know I can't be the only one who does this or gets excited about it. So today I thought I would share with you all my favourite Christmas movies that will be on repeat a good few times this month.

Jack Frost

This movie is definitely a great, heart warming movie to watch at Christmas that really puts a smile on my face because of the happy ending. The take on this movie about the dad dying and coming back as a snow man to help the son and mother over come his death is brilliant. There's a lot of children out there that have lost a parent and don't know how to process it so I love this movie for that.

Elf

Tell me one person who doesn't love this movie at Christmas? Seriously. I just can't say enough good things about this movie. It really brings Christmas cheer and gives me that warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach that puts me right into the Christmas spirit.

The Santa clause

When I was younger I loved this movie, no seriously, I LOVED it. I wore out the video of it because of how much I would watch it. There's really something about this that brings a smile to my face and I'm glad they made another two movies about this. Tim Allen is a great actor in my opinion and I think this movie brings a little magic into the home.

The nightmare before Christmas

This has always been a favourite in my family ever since I can remember. What I like about this movie is that it's a different take on the whole Christmas theme. It's not your typical Christmas movie and I think that's brilliant. I also kinda love zero the ghost dog, he's just too cute!

The Grinch

I remember when this first came out on DVD and I was just over the moon to receive it for my Christmas that I made my mum and gran watch it over and over again. I also used to sit all my barbies on my bottom bunk bed whilst I sat on my top bunk bed and I would keep the DVD on repeat. Plus Jim Carrey is in it and e plays the role soooo well!

Home alone

This is a complete classic Christmas movie. It's funny and it's a great family movie. It's always on the TV around Christmas time and I will make sure no one touches the TV remote whilst it is on. This movie is a classic to me, its perfect.

It's a wonderful life

When I was younger I would flee at the sight of this movie and I hated it, but when I was around 18/19 I fell in love with the story line and now I always watch it at Christmas. It's brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a feel good movie. It may be an oldie but it's a classic.

The Polar Express

I was really skeptical at first with this movie and I didn't know if I liked it or not but I did just fall in love with it. Now it's a family favourite and will be on every Christmas.

Love Actually

I absolutely love this movie! I could watch it all day everyday and that's why it's high up on my Christmas movie list. I love the story and the concept behind it. I always feel great after watching it and I would easily put it on again as soon as it finishes.

Bad Santa

After all the family favourites, I like to settle down at night, in my room and stick on bad Santa. I will have my bed on (I have a electric blanket for my bed in winter for my arthritis in my legs) I will get a mug of hot chocolate and probably a packet of crisps to munch on and curl up in my bed all cosy with a great funny movie that will relax me. It's funny and that's what I like about it, its just a great take on an adult movie for Christmas.

So there you have it, my favourite Christmas movies! After writing this I think I need a Christmas movie marathon.
