#MeetTheBeauties ││ LifeUnexpected

Hey Everyone and welcome to this weeks installment of #MeetTheBeauties. Today is all about Chloe From LifeUnexpected.
I first came across Life Unexpected through the #BloggersClubUk linky a few months back and all I could think was, I relate to so many of her posts! They are so well written and very very relatable. One of my faviourite posts by Chloe is "10 THINGS I’D TELL MY PREGNANT SELF" I would definitely recommend going and checking it out after you read her interview. So without further adieu, Lets learn a little more about Chloe from Life Unexpected.

1: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Hi, I'm Chloe! Im a first time Mum to a very stubborn and confident two year old toddler called Evie.We live in a really beautiful seaside town in Cornwall and feel so lucky to have the beach right on our doorstep.

At the moment I work as a full time blogger, freelance writer and social media manager. Balancing business, babies and blogging is my thing, alongside spending time with my best friends drinking prosecco on the beach at sunset. But, at the end of this year were planning on changing all of this as we are upping sticks and going travelling around the world for a while.

2: What is your blog name and how did you come up with it?

My blog is called Life Unexpected. I came up with the name because it was a complete reflection of my life at the time. I always had to have a plan, but then my daughter came along. She was a really unexpected but perfect surprise. My life was going in a completely different direction until she came along. She showed me that life is always unexpected and that you dont always need a plan in order to have a good life.

3: How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging for 18 months now, although it feels like I’ve been doing it all my life.

4: Who/What Inspired you to start a blog?

I was on maternity leave from my previous job as a social media manager. I really missed being creative and decided to couple my love for online, photography and my daughter and created Life Unexpected. I loved reading other blogs and hoped that one day I could turn my blog into my job, something Ive been able to do in the last 6 months.

5: Do you have a tip you can share for new bloggers?

I have so many tips! I am such a blog geek and love learning everything about the ever evolving world of blogging. I love helping other bloggers to grow and even have a blog tip sections on Life Unexpected. But my main tips for new bloggers is to work out what you want from a blog. If its a job, then prepare yourself for handwork and do your research! Read other blogs and optimise your posts for SEO from the off. If you dont want it to be your job then, find what you want to talk about and have fun with your page! Also connect with other bloggers, they are amazing, supportive people and youd be surprised how many best friends you can find from this little world of online.

6: Tell us a random fact about yourself.

I found my first grey hair this month (Im turning 27 soon) and I seriously freaked out. I am terrified of getting old.

7: Is there anything you know now that you wish you knew when you started blogging?

Firstly that it would be hard work, but that it would also become my passion! Secondly that I should optimise my blog posts with SEO from the start. Im now having to go back through all old posts and add pinnable images and keywords, which is a bit tedious to be honest.

8: Describe your perfect Night in.

My perfect night in is sat on a blanket in front of the fire, with a bottle of red wine, a cheese board and the person I love.

9: Looking back, Do you have a favourite post/topic that you have talked about?

I really love writing about everything on my blog and can’t pinpoint a favourite. At the moment I’m interviewing Mums who have started business’ and I’m finding those posts so inspiring. I also write a lot about Cornwall and love sharing where we live and the places to visit with our readers.

I wouldn’t say its my favourite post, but the post that made the most impact on both my blog and myself, was a post written by both myself and my daughters father, called ’Stay Together For The Kids’. It’s about our decision to separate earlier this year.

It was such a difficult post for us to write, but it made me so proud when we heard how many people that we had helped when we published it. The post went viral and we ended up doing an interview on the radio.

10: What are your links, where can we find you?
