#MeetTheBeauties ││ Natalie

Hey Everyone and welcome to this weeks installment of #MeetTheBeauties. Today is all about Natalie from Colour Is Simply Art
I first came across Natalie during the Sassyblogchat. She was so sweet and really chatty which was amazing so I wandered over to her blog to have a nosy around, safe to say I loved her content. After you have read her interview you should swing by her blog and check it out! So without further adieu, Lets learn a little more about Natalie.

1: Tell us a bit about yourself.

I'm a 24 natural red head from Yorkshire! I'm also mixed raced of British white and African Nigerian! I'm very bubbly, chatty and I LOVE culture !! Without culture their wouldn't be art, music, food and fashion ect ! Also I have just finished my degree of BA HONS Fashion Design ! I've always been a creative individual since I was young as I adore designing and making garments ! Next year I am getting married to my fiancé of four years, haha I'm really excited but nervous as its that time every girls dream day becomes a reality. Music is another passion of mine I actually was opera trained at the age of six ! But then I turned to singing I've won many talent shows and have received a "Outstanding Vical Ability award" at the age of 16 from the major of Bradford!

2: What is your blog name and how did you come up with it?

My blog is called Colour Is Simply Art! The reason why I called my blog this was because I see blogging as a creative field! From the visuals (photography) to the creative writing, to blog you have to be creative. I just felt my blog name speaks to every culture out their, I want my blog to be for all back grounds and races ! Especially the illustration logo I designed I didn't give the girl a skin colour as I wanted it to connect to everybody! Hence why I name it colour is simply art !

3: How long have you been blogging?

I started my blog just a few days before Christmas! I became instantly addicted! I was amazed that how blogging enabled you to meet other bloggers from around the world who have the same interests as you! Although I have taken a four months break with my final year at university!

4: Who/What Inspired you to start a blog?

Initially I stated my blog to advertise my 1st fashion collection "GlassHeart." My tutor advised myself and class mates that it is important to blog as fashion students as it expands you're knowledge as a designer and also you can make contacts. This is what I did and I met some amazing people along the way ! My first ever interview about my fashion collection was by Sarah O'Connell a show biz journalist. I will never forget how Sarah kindly gave me that exposure of my collection. Now Sarah is a very close friend of mine it's crazy it all started from s interview ! As the time progressed I began to turn to beauty and life style posts which I never ever expected to happen ! But I love it but I would say fashion is deffo my heart.

5: Do you have a tip you can share for new bloggers?

Yes don't hold back!! Any questions you have just direct message somebody and ask for help! This is what I did at the very start m! Two bloggers Jemma and Daisy actually took time out to help me set up accounts and was willing to answer any questions I had. They was so kind explaining all I wanted to know, even when they didn't know me ! I can remember one blogger was so stuck up to me when I DM her she really didn't want me to blog haha! Also participating in blogger chats is a MUST!! Answering questions, butting in conversations or even offering your own opinion ! Theirs no shame in this, if anything other bloggers love it. As they are most likely in the same position as you! This is where you begin to form friendships and explore new blogs ! Also a major tip don't expect others to just comment on you're blog, take time on others blogs and leave a comment ! Once you have built this platform then create a Instagram account also and upload regular posts.

6: Tell us a random fact about yourself.

Ok haha this may make me sound like a freak but I'm actually terrified of aliens !!!! I know they ain't real but the thought of them freaks me out! Don't laugh at me haha I blame my older brother he use to make me watch alien UFO sighting documentaries when I was like 4 so it's stuck in my head that apparently real footage of seen :(

7: Is there anything you know now that you wish you knew when you started blogging?

The thing is I'm still a new blogger I had to take four months out due to uni so I'm still new. Everyday is a learning curve! The only suggestion id have at this moment in time is natural lighting aka day light is you're best friend when taking photos !! You don't need fancy props this will do the trick !!

8: Describe your perfect Night in.

My perfect night in has to be a good film, in my dressing gown and in my fluffy slippers! Also eating beautiful yummy food !! Food is a must haha either a take out or a good traditional dish of Nigerian food ! Plus don't forget the munchies hana the blue M&M's are my fave !

9: Looking back, Do you have a favourite post/topic that you have talked about?

For me I personally have two favourite posts. I did a post about a Home Spa and in here you find out what products (which I've tried and tested) which help to just relax you and help you have a good night. I also give many tips about looking after your skin ect! This was the first post I didn't expect to get such a wild response on ! It literally took me hours to write but that hard work pays off !! The other post which I'm proud of has to be the Kylie Ripped Me Off! Here I did so much research and my own investigate about the faults in Kylie Cosmetics Metal Mattes! This took hours as I got my own research and investigated the matter myself as to why are some of the metal mattes half empty and half full !!
