Gourmet Burger Kitchen Opening; Fort Glasgow

07:00:00

On the 3rd of November I attended the opening of Gourmet Burger Kitchen in Glasgow Fort with two of my Glasgow blogger babes, Ashley & Robyn. I also got to see Bethany from Fryingthenest which was cool! Feel like I haven't seen them in sooooo long, so it was nice to see their faces. Anyway, we attended the opening night for GBK and let me just tell you... WOW.

When we arrived it was very busy, I was actually shocked at how many people were there, the place looked thriving. We were met with a friendly smile from one of the staff who sorted our table for us and got us menus etc... We all sat for about 5/10 minutes just deciding what we wanted, every two seconds I would change my mind as there was so much choice. Ashley and Robyn were writing the order down in their phones & a light bulb clicked, PERFECT IDEA! You see, you have to go up to the tills to order your food so it would be really easy to forget what you were ordering, well, it would in my case anyway haha. Once we had all settled on what we wanted Robyn and I went to order the food, it was simple and speedy service which was great. After we sat back down we all had a good laugh, catching up and chatting about makeup, blogging and more.

Keeping true to myself I decided to check out the toilets, because we all know how much I love a good clean toilet! It literally makes or breaks a place for me if I'm honest. I was relieved to see that they were spotless, even better, they were really quirky and cute, individual cubicles with a toilet, sink, dryer and mirror. I loved then, and they were stocked with plenty toilet roll! I really liked that the Female toilets had the "F" tile on them and the males had the "M" ones, it reminded me of scrabble which was pretty nice.

Once I got back to the table it was nice to see that my food was waiting for me, I was met with both the girls taking lots of food pictures so naturally I had to get in on that too, Unfortunately the lighting wasn't the best but I did manage to get a few pictures, it really looked so delicious and I couldn't wait to get tucked into it. The burger was beautiful, very well cooked and the whole taste of the thing was perfect. I got Baconase sauce with it so that I could put it on top of my burger which just added to the taste, it was amazing, I just can't say anything else about it, it was brilliant. We also all got a side each to share among the three of us, Robyn got skinny fries, Ashley got Sweet Potato fries and I got the Onion rings, All of them were really yummy, the batter on the onion rings was crunchy and thick, just the way I like it. I have no complaints with the food what so ever, brilliantly cooked, full of flavour and very filling to say the least.

All in all the whole experience was really great, for my first time ever eating at GBK it certainly set me up to put it on one of my go to places. I liked the decor, the atmosphere, the staff were lovely, the food was great and the toilets were spotless! So I definitely suggest trying out a GBK near you, It is definitely worth it. The one at Glasgow Fort opens its doors on 7th November, so please, go check it out and see for yourself how lovely it really is.

Here is the video of our evening, Thanks to Ashley & Robyn for being in the video!
