Men's Gift Guide

June saw me frantically rushing around to try and find the perfect presents for Leon's dads birthday, I was looking everywhere for inspiration and while his birthday is really close to father's day I had to find things that wouldn't be repetitive... cant go getting him the same thing twice can I? As I was searching everywhere for inspiration I came across tons of father's day gift guides and plenty Christmas men's gift guide.... What about general birthday gift guides? So it got me thinking about them and I decided to go ahead and do one of my own to help anyone else out there who is looking for a general men's gift guide for any man in their life.

When I think about buying gifts for a man I always end up being drawn to aftershave, I'm sure that this is probably thee most bought gift for a man, apart from socks haha. So I just knew that I had to include some in this gift guide. Mens perfume L´Occitane have a beautiful selection of men's aftershave on their site such as the L'Homme Cologne Cedrat Eau de Toilette and L’Occitan Gift Set which both would be the perfect gift for any man in your life. Personally I would choose the gift set as that would be really lovely for any man to receive and you could go all our and wrap it up all nice with some brown paper and string, or how ever you would choose (I just love wrapping presents with brown paper!) On their website you are bound to find a present for any man you're buying for as they really do have a wide range of aftershaves available plus more! I noticed that the aftershaves available have a wide price range which means you will for sure be able to find something to fit your budget no matter what it is, starting at £24.50 you'll get a great deal. I had a little nosy about the whole site and found many thing's that I am putting on a "to buy" list so to speak so that I can keep it in mind for the next birthday that rolls around.

I also want to mention that I am very impressed with this brand and their policies, Here's a little about them;

"L’OCCITANE is involved in the community through solidarity projects and its Foundation. “The company is only part of a whole, and one of the fundamental pillars of sustainable development is the responsible relationship that a company has with its community. L’OCCITANE is an economic and social member of the first order for the Provence-Alps-Cote-d’Azur region. Beyond the Mediterranean, L’OCCITANE has also created strong links with the Burkinabe community for over 20 years. Thanks to shea butter, it has further strengthened these ties with the actions of its Foundation in Burkina Faso.” - Olivier Baussan, Founder of L’OCCITANE...Read more"

Next I thought about beard kits because Stephen has a pretty heafty beard going on at the moment and I knew he would be really thankful for some beard care tools. I found this one from Notonthehighstreet.com, It's a 6 piece kit with essentials any many with a beard would need "These essentials include items such as a fine holding Moustache Wax to tame your tash'. A Beard Conditioning Oil, A Beard Balm to style and moisturise. fine trimming scissors to get all your unwanted hair and finally your Exclusive Mo Bro's Comb."
Driving experience! I think this is definitely an amazing idea for a present because you also get to give someone an experience they will never forget. If you're bored of buying the normal gifts like socks, alcohol, mugs etc... then I think this is the perfect alternative.

When looking for unusual gifts for a man I thought why not get something that appeals to their personality and things they genuinely like. I know that Leon's dad is a big lover of the Alien movies and the walking dead so I ended up getting him POP! figures as I knew he would genuinely appreciate them, plus it shows some thought into the present. So if you are ever stuck for a wee present then why not pick up a POP! Figure of something they like. Sticking with the theme of something a little different I thought about more TV shows that he would like and Game of thrones kept coming up, this lead me to the Tankard! It's unusual and would appeal to that side of him that loves the TV show.

So that's my general mens gift guide! I tried to include some different options as I know not everyone is the same but still keeping to a theme of mens gifts. My personal favourite's from this bunch are the aftershave and the driving experience! I think they would be great gifts for anyone to receive, I also think that the POP! figure is a fantastic idea for a little present. Thank you so much for reading!
