A few weeks ago I was invited along to The Trading House in Glasgow to review their Sunday Roast and let me just say that you definitely get a lot for your money, I mean, I GOT HALF A CHICKEN!
The Sunday Roast menu has the options of Roast Chicken or Roast Beef that comes with all the trimmings for £11.95 which I would say is a really good price for what you get on your plate. I was very surprised at the amount of food that came, I wasn't expecting to get half a chicken or such a huge Yorkshire pudding, the thing was almost the size of the plate. Now, I am a food lover so I always really like to clear my plate of everything I eat but there was just so much food that I couldn't finish it, not that it wasn't lovely it was simply just too much for me to eat. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the roast potatoes were mouth watering! To me, the best thing about the whole experience was the food, it was perfect and I can definitely see me going again for this, maybe with my Gran for some time to relax on a Sunday and have someone else cook our dinner.
Leon had a meal from the kids menu which was Chicken fingers and chips as he is a really fussy eater so I couldn't get him to agree to the childrens Sunday roast. Not to worry though, the kids meal he received was presented beautifully! Unfortunately I couldn't get a decent picture of his food because in true typical children style, he was in there within two seconds flat! But his meal came in like a little wooden box with a wheel barrow that had tomato sauce in it (I wish they had never given him sauce though, he makes such a mess with it and doesn't eat any of the food that he smothers in it since he hates the stuff) His Chicken came in a little bucket which was super cute and the chips were spread out so it looked like a little garden/beach scene. I think it's perfect for children as it will capture their imagination, sometimes it is really hard to get your little one to eat at the best of times, never mind when your'e out for a meal. So I was pleasantly surprised by his meal for sure plus I tried his chicken and it was LOVELY. He ate around 90% of his chips and the other 10% would have been eaten if he hadn't coated them in the sauce. So all in all it's a 5/5 for the kids meal!

Ross opted for the Roast beef (He realised just how annoying I am when taking pictures for these things... he was dying to eat haha) I asked him a few times what he thought of his meal and I would say all in all he enjoyed it. It looked lovely from where I was sitting and it really smelt like a homely meal. In true Ross fashion his plate was empty within 5 minutes... He ate the lot.
All in all the meal as a whole was fantastic, such beautiful food, I would give it 5/5 The price is great for what you get in my opinion, especially with the amount of food that is put on your plate. I enjoyed The chicken, it was cooked really well, the Yorkshire pudding was PERFECT and Leon loved his food. I was pleased with the presentation of it all and for the food alone I would go back. If your'e looking for a nice hearty Sunday roast where you can sit back and relax then I think The Trading House has you covered.
