#MeetTheBeauties ││ Anoceanglimmer

Hello Lovelies and welcome to this week's installment of #MeetTheBeauties. Today is all about Anoceanglimmer

1: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Helloo I'm Gemma, a beauty and lifestyle blogger from Britain's Ocean City aka Plymouth. I adore the colour blue, I suppose fitting for living by side the sea. I am in my last year of University where I am studying Journalism. When I do have spare time I love reading and spending time with my fiance.

2: What is your blog name and how did you come up with it?

My blog is called An Ocean Glimmer, an anagram of my name. I was speaking to my best friend about names for a blog, she suggested seeing what words come up from my name. As this was how she came about the name for her blog.

3: How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging now for five years, before An Ocean Glimmer, I had a blog on Tumblr called Media Queen.

4: Who/What Inspired you to start a blog?

Media Queen was something I started for College, we had to have a platform to show our work. We had to create content every week, I saw this as a chore rather than something for fun, so I never did anything for it. This year, An Ocean Glimmer would be two years old, I was chatting to my friend about it and she said I should start up again. Especially as this would help me with my future career.

5: Do you have a tip you can share for bloggers?

I would say write content for yourself on your blog, don't worry about impressing anyone. Your blog should be 100% you, if you are not enjoying it then change something. I love creating content for my blog and wouldn't change it for the world, I believe you write better content if you enjoy it and have a passion for it.

6: Tell us a random fact about yourself.

I volunteer at Silverstone Circuit, here I am a Racemaker, someone is pink and blue! My role is basically to help visitors to the circuit during a motorsports weekend. This is something I applied for not thinking I would get it! Now I've been doing it for three years and I love it, I wouldn't change it for the world, I've managed to meet a lot of famous motorsports faces.

7: How do you find inspiration for your posts?

My inspiration just comes from things I love, something new I've brought, a place I've visited and enjoyed. I even look on other blogger's blogs and look at Blog Idea posts. I try and keep my content fresh and different so I try and not do the same thing again. I might tweak it though but it won't be exactly the same.

8: Describe your Dream Holiday;

My Dream Holiday would be visiting America, just getting in a car and driving around the different states and just exploring everything. This is something I've been interested for a while now, I think it's something everyone should do as there's so much to explore.

9: Out of everything you have blogged about so far, do you have a favourite post?

There's been a lot of things I've enjoyed blogging about. I loved blogging about Pukka Pad, I did this as a haul for Back to School seeing as I brought a whole lot of stuff. Also speaking about my media experience at Britcar Endurance, I loved writing about what I done and achieved. As this is something I am looking to go into once I finish University. My favourite post though must be my review of the new Beauty Kitchen store, I attended the launch of the store opening and I loved it. I received a lot of love from Beauty Kitchen as they retweeted my tweets and shared it through their social medias. As well as sharing it on their website, that was really a surprise to me!
