Adventures with Little Bear

Going on adventures with my little bear is one of my favourite things to do. Spending time with him and watching him have fun is so heart warming and always puts a smile on my face.

Lately Leon and I have been doing lots of different things, with the good weather sticking around it makes getting out so much easier. I don't want to just sit about, I want to get out there and make memories with little bear so that's exactly what I've been doing. When we go out I can only be described as snap happy, I'm forever taking pictures and it's gotten to a point where Leon now wants to take pictures all the time which is amazing! I love that he's showing interest in it, every now and then I'll let him use my camera, at first that sent shivers down my spin as it's such an expensive camera and I normally have one of my high end lens on so I was reluctant at first but after taking the time to show him how to use it and how to be careful with it I'm a lot looser with him taking his own pictures. It's great because I get to see the world through his eyes almost.

As Leon and I have been having more adventures recently I wanted to maybe do a little series here on my blog, maybe a photo diary of sorts to document our outings. The last one we went on saw us discover a nature reserve that's only 5 minutes from the house! I had no idea it was there but Stephen found it and I'm so glad he did, it was a great walk, exploring the woods and finding weird and wonderful things. I think we are going to go back again because it's so big and we didn't get to fully explore it last time, we are probably going to take a full blown picnic with us and make a day of it.

Anyway, here are some pictures from our big walk, it's was such a great day!

  3. You took some amazing photos! That's so convenient that the nature reserve is so close to your house! There are some really nice bush walks around my neighbourhood as well but sadly the weather hasn't been good so I haven't been able to do any of them. Great post!

  4. Aw, he's such a cutie. Love how he's got the pose down pat already! What a lovely way to document a wonderful day, so much better than just dumping photos on a hard drive. Look forward to seeing more of these photo diaries in the future xx

    1. Thank you 😊 Its actually a skull! I'm not sure what kind of animal yet, I've narrowed it down to either a squirrel or a rat maybe. It was so strange finding it!

  17. He seems like such a smart boy! It is very cool that he’s getting interested in photography. You guys will connect a lot through it. I’m jealous but in a good way that you guys live near a Nature Reserve. Keep doing these photos diary.

Laura M - I’m so glad that you love to learn different languages. I think it is soo important to at least know one language other than your native. So many English native speakers take it for granted since English is kinda the “universal/commercial” language. I’m Latina and we’re taught English at school but as you mentioned it always felt like a chore. It’s pretty cool that you chose Spanish as one of them, it will also help you to understand Portuguese they way it did with the Italian since they’re all very similar, at least written. Espero que te vaya increΓble en Madrid, se que te encantarΓ‘. ¡Buena suerte! ☺️
