20 Things I Want To Do In 2019

I love setting myself goals, It feels good working towards something no matter how small or big it is. Last year I wrote a post on 20 things I wanted to do in 2018 so I thought I would do it again this year, It's not a list that I HAVE to stick to, but it's a list of some things I would like to have done through out 2019.

I have compiled a list of things that I would really like to look back at and say "I done that" all whilst making some amazing memories. I have some things like new tattoos, new piercings, going on different days out and more, don't get me wrong, there's WAY more things I could have put into this list but I wanted to stick to the same sort of format as last year here on the blog, in my journal though, there is a huge list that's got lots for things I want to do in 2019, maybe at the end of the year I'll go through them all and talk about whether I achieved them or not.

Here's 20 things I want to do in 2019:

1: Get a new tattoo

2: Finish off my sleeve tattoo

3: Get a new piercing

4: Buy a new car

5: Take little bear to the beach

6: Go on holiday

7: Get informer of the camera more

8: Take little bear away for a weekend

9: Do something with my hair

10: Be more organised

11: Create two short movies

12: Buy a new camera Lens

13: Get new flooring for my room

14: Make a financial plan

15: Get a dog

16: Take Leon on holiday

17: Go to the safari park

18: Visit some castles

19: See my Grandpa

20: Work on my Photography

And that's my 20 things. There's a few in there that I really want to achieve but if I don't active them all, I won't be so hard on myself. I need to remember that life throws us curve balls, it isn't always plain sailing and if I can't keep on top of everything all at once, that's ok. I really struggled last year with feeling like I let myself and those around me down when in reality, I was just being so much harder than anyone ever could be on me.

1: Go to Edinburgh Fringe - Didn't manage this but there were so mamy things going on in my life at the time. My health was bad, my mental health was even worse and I wasn't in the right frame of mind so I'm not mad at myself for not achieving this one.

2: Visit the lighthouse in Glasgow - Managed it! It was only for about 10 minutes, but I enjoyed myself. The views were everything and I can't wait to go back with my camera.

3: Go on a spa day - Went on two lovely spa days this year and both were absolutely amazing.

4: Take a trip to the beach - Didn't manage this, unfortunately so many other things were going on that it was hard to schedule a trip in.

5: Read 10 Books - oh dear Lord did I fail miserably at this. I read 3 books.... no where near 10 haha

6: Take a day trip - Went on plenty of day trips which was lovely. Especially since getting the car, we have done so many amazing things and little bear loved it.

7: Change my hair - I sort of changed my hair? Haha I got 5 inches cut off of it & a side fringe put in, that counts as change right?

8: Take more Polaroids - I lacked doing this, I found myself putting "buy more Polaroids" on my to buy list and never managed to get them.... My mind was like a siv this year.

9: Get a new piercing - With only 3 weeks left of 2018, I got a new piercing. Granted I done it myself, but that counts right? There was a space in my ear which looked out of place so I decided to use that spot and give myself a new piercing.

10: Go to the cinema once a month - Nope. Did not achieve this haha I have been to the cinema a fair few times this year but with prices forever increasing, I found myself just waiting for the DVD on most films.

11: Make a fort & camp out in it - This was such a fun night! Little bear and I made a fort in his room which was super fun. We got the blow up bed, lots of blankets, pillows and munchiex, set up a fort and had a blast of a night.

12: Plan more date days - I planned them.... didn't stick to them though haha

13: Save - 2018 started off ok money wise, everything was going well, I was saving and then BOOM, money troubles galore saw me eat into savings and cry some days because of just how bad it was. Luckily things have improved and I'm so thankful.

14: Get a new tattoo - I keep meaning to book in for a new tattoo but I just never got round to it. With lots of money worries, a tattoo was the last thing on my list.

15: Go to 5 Gigs - Unfortunately I didn't manage 5 gigs, again, money!

16: See friends more - I wish I could say this happened but sadly it didn't. This year I've had my eyes opened in terms of friendships etc... I tried so hard to keep friendships alive, to check in, send letters and more but when you're the only one trying, in any relationship it's important to take a back seat and truly see who's there for you. In a way it's been a cathartic experience, I've rid myself of people who were taking up room in my life to give way to new friendships.

17: Take my gran on more days out - We've been on a few days out which have been nice but between our health and money, it just wasn't doable all the time.

18: Take Little bear to the zoo - We didn't go to the zoo but that's because I changed this through the year. I read a lot of stories about zoos etc that put me right off and I decided against going.

19: Stay in a hotel over night with Little Bear - Unfortunately because of money worries, I wasn't able to do this with him But I have a weekend away planned for this year with Leon.

20: Be happy - Although 2018 was a tough year, I would say that when I wasn't putting myself down or dwelling on the bad I was really happy. I always told myself that I'm luck, I have the most amazing little boy, I have my family who I love fiercely and some amazing friends that kept me going.

as for the 2018, you did good! Of course, there are still some stuff left, but you had quite a long list so I would say it's OK. I'll also definitely steal some of these :D
