August To Do List

It's been a while since I last done a "To Do List" post but I have been itching to do one again as I really enjoy setting my goals for the month out, getting it out of my brain and into black and white, I find it really helps me to stay on track (thank the lord!) Although I'm pretty much an organised person, when it comes to certain things, I slack really hard. Having everything in a blog post sort of helps me not let myself down if that makes sense?

Anyway, I'm so glad I got the chance to sit down and really take a look at what things I have to get done as I feel my brain is fried at the minute trying to remember things, I always have it in the back of my mind that I have something to do but I often forget, so here's my August to do list, I can't wait to really smash these.... (I Hope haha)

Go School Shopping - Little bear starts school in like two weeks and I am no where near prepped for this. Where has the summer holidays gone? How did they fly by so fast! it's true what they say, time does fly the older you get! Now here I am, worrying about getting the last of little bears school stuff! We already have all his uniform stuff, his shoes, his back pack and lunch box, it's just the little bits and bobs we need such as pencil case etc... but it needs done.

Go more walks - I feel live I have been stuck in my house for an eternity. Although we have gone out and done stuff, I don't think it's been enough. I miss walking every day, even if it was just to the park and back so I am on a mission to start walking more again.

Get my room in order - My room is pretty much a dumping ground most of the time at the moment, because my depression and anxiety have taken over a lot recently, I have found myself letting all the junk build up around me and I'm so annoyed because I hate my room feeling cluttered. I intend to give it a good clear out, free up some of my room and my mind.

Go shopping for college stuff - Just like little bear needs stuff for school, I need to get some stuff for going back to college. I don't need a lot, maybe some new note books and pens, a new bag and some new shoes, if I can at least get them I'll be happy.

Get some bath bombs - My bath bomb stash has depleted and I'm extremely sad about it. I miss having a new one to pop in my baths since that's what I have been doing when I need some self care. I miss watching them fizz, the smell, how they shape bath time so I would really like to get a couple to ease the back to college nerves.

Cook more - I haven't been cook any where near as much as I should be, not for myself at least. I make sure everyone else is fed and then I just sit and loath the thought of cooking for myself but I want to break that habit, I want to get back into the swing of cooking.

Meet up with Lisa - I feel like I haven't properly caught up with Lisa in months, there has been so much going on with both of us that it's been hard for me to get the energy to get out this routine of loneliness I have created for myself. I feel like something always happens to me when we are due to meet up so I would just like to see my bestie for a while! I think we have a new date set in place and I can't wait.

Start looking at car insurance quotes - My car insurance renewal is up in September so I wanted to get looking at some quotes to see what my insurance for the next year will be. I am praying my no claims bonus helps!

I have tried to keep my list simple yet centred around the most important things I have to get done with a few others I would quite like thrown in. Hopefully I manage to get through my list, as long as it's just the important ones, that's all that matters to me.

  1. I love a good to do list! You’ve remined me that I really need to get mine written down before it all vanishes from my brain!

As it happens, I might be able to help with one of the items yours!! Your list of blog ideas that you posted the other day inspired me to write about some of the little tricks I’ve learned from working in insurance for getting car insurance down. It’ll be up early next week so it might be able to help get some pennies off for you!

I look forward to reading about smashing your goals!

  2. Honestly, half of your to-do list is my to-do list, but I think my number one is getting my room in order as it's pretty messy at the moment :) Also I love your blog template x

  3. Hi Jordanne, I hope you have a successful and exciting month of August.

I too need to write down my goals because I have the worst memory of all and if I don't see things in writing I would never do them.

I definitely need to go on more walks and spend more time in nature. And I feel you with cooking more. I had the habit of meal prepping and haven't done that in months. I hope to get my healthy eating back on track.

Thanks for sharing your to do list. It inspired me to do my own as well. Have a lovely day and best of luck with everything.

  6. I love doing to do list. The sense of accomplishment is pretty satisfying since I always feel like I'm a sore loser in life lol. I've been doing this monthly goals too but I just don't feel like it for July. I hope I got my life together soon and did onefor August asap. All the best for your goals!

  7. Great post! Having things written down can definitely make it easier to tackle what you know you want to achieve, can't it? It's just tricky when it's an ongoing item rather than something you can accomplish once and tick off. I'm coming to this post late, so I really hope you managed to get some of these done and you've had a great month!
