Christmas Gift Guide: Gifts That Won't Break The Bank

Close up of a Christmas card that says "Have a very very merry Christmas" on the front in gold with little drawings of a penguin, robin and deer on the front. The card has a white background and white ribbon running down the front with a bow. The card is on a pink blanket with gold and silver christmas decorations surrounding the card. A flat lay photo taken from directly above.

Christmas is fast approaching and that means it's time to start getting the presents in, but what do we get? Surly we have all been there, scratching our heads wondering what to get that aunt we don't really see but it would be rude not to get her anything, or the friend who is super picky, sometimes we just hit a wall and need some inspiration. So, for the next few weeks I'll be sharing a range of Gift guides filled with presents for all budgets and personalities.

Please note that some of these products have been provided for the purpose of this Gift guide and will be marked with a '*'. However, I wouldn't feature anything that I wouldn't personally recommend, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hopefully in today's Gift guide you'll be able to pick up some inspiration for your loved ones with presents that are all budget friendly and maybe a little bit different.

Dorkface Shop

Why not add a personal touch this Christmas by shopping with a small business like Dorkface.  The Dorkface shop is run by Jemma who is absolutely lovely and extremely talented, all her products are dreamy and I can confirm that her products are great quality from the pin badges right down to the stickers. Not only are you buying beautiful products that the recipient is sure to love, you're also supporting a small business which can have a huge impact.

Jemma has loads of products that would be perfect for any family member or friend, I would recommend getting a mixture of pin badge, print, sticker and notebook, put that together, wrapped in some lovely tissue paper and you've got a lovely little gift. Best of all, Jemma has affordable products that won't break the bank plus she can do portraits if commissioned, you can do it straight from her shop.

*Barbour Notbook - Eland Lodge

Eland Lodge are an Equestrian clothing and accessories brand that stocks brands such as Dubarry, Musto, Montar, Barbour, Pikeur and many more which are all hand picked for their quality and style. Eland lodge are they perfect store if you are shopping for someone who appreciates country and equestrian items, such as this Barbour note book. The beautiful notebook is A5 in size with a tartan design and I really like that it's not just printed on and that actual material was used to cover the notebook. When you have it in your hands you can feel the quality, the pages are nice and thick, it looks stunning and having a former kilt maker for a gran, I really appreciate tartan.

This Barbour notebook is the perfect gift for someone who loves stationary and even if they already have a hundred other notebooks, a stationary lover will always welcome a new notebook. The quality and feel of this Barbour notebook really gives a luxury feel and definitely looks something. I would for sure recommend the Barbour notebook, I think it would make a great gift, even for someone who isn't a massive stationary lover because it has that little 'something that makes it appealing. Eland Lodge has loads of other gifts ranging in price so you can find something for your budget, I personally have my eyes on a few scarfs that look really beautiful, perfect for my gran.

*IL Gusto

Want to give a bit of a quirky gift? then why not check out IL Gusto and their Christmas gifts. With the likes of parma violet gin to Cream liqueurs and the option to personalise the bottle with a message, Il Gusto is the place to go for some little alcoholic treats for those 18+ family members and friends. The bottles are absolutely adorable, although I like all the bottles, the gingerbread man bottle with cherry bakewell gin inside is my favourite. The gin smells utterly delicious as well as the salted caramel liqueur and I cannot wait to try the sour cherry vodka. IL Gusto also have a range of other bottle shapes such as shoes, Santa, Santa boot, hearts and more, so you can choose a design the recipient will like.

These little bottles are a great sticking filler, I know I would be chuffed if I woke up to these on Christmas morning but if you are looking for a bigger gift then don't worry, there are a range of sizes available and there's something for every budget with prices starting at £10, ranging all the way up to £100, you'll be sure to get the perfect, personal gift.

*Love Crafts

Give the gift of a new hobby this year with Love crafts, the home for all things crafting. Love crafts, which is the new home of Love Knitting and Love Crochet welcomes 3 million crafters to their website and had an online community that gathers 1.1 million makers and counting. Giving the gift of a hobby can be a lot more personal and may just well be the thing that person needs. Knitting is a great hobby to have and I, myself have taken it upon myself to learn knitting and I am determined to make myself a scarf with the beautiful Sugar pink MillaMia super chunky yarn and knitting needles I received.

The yarn is so beautiful and a picture does not do it justice, the quality is amazing and I think as part of a gift for someone, this could really be a winner. It doesn't have to be just for someone who may be in need of a new hobby, why not pick up some yarn or knitting needles for that avid knitter in your life or go one step further and hand make some beautiful, unique pieces for your family and friends this year? The possibilities are endless and it's a gift they will remember.

*Soul Analyse

Soul Analyse launched their I AM range in 2016 which featured a collection of rings, bracelets and necklaces. Each piece of jewellery has a message such as "I AM STRONG", "I AM A SURVIVOR" "I AM ME" and more. Soul Analyse is a self-help organisation that started in 2015, they believe in celebrating what makes us different and have created jewellery that echos this message. With different styles there is something for everyone and I am proud to be the owner of their "I AM ME" bracelet. Knowing that I am enough, that I am me is powerful has changed my life and now I have a bracelet to show this which I will wear with pride.

Their jewellery would make a great gift, with powerful messages and beautiful designs the pieces stand out among the crowd, and with the engraving of the messages it adds a more personal touch to the gift. Having wore the bracelet and gotten to see it up close, I am over the moon with the quality and style. I would recommend this for anyone who likes to wear jewellery or would appreciate the sentiment behind the messages on the pieces plus their jewellery won't break the bank.

Lush

Can you really go wrong with some Lush products? Most people I know love Lush and their products, with amazing scents and even better aesthetics when it comes to the design of their bath bombs plus colours, they are always a big hit with my friends and family. Lush have a huge Christmas range which has something for everyone, has your friend only got a shower and not a bath? then why not pick up a shower bombs or snow fair body spray. Lush are also great for picking up little extras for stocking fillers or adding to personalised hampers.

I would personally recommend their Little snow fairy gift set as it is such a popular scent, it's sure to go down a treat or the Santa's grotto gift set which has some rather fun Christmas themed products like their Santa reusable bubble bar, Warm sock bath oil, Fire ball bath bomb and more. Their gift's also come pre-wrapped so there's no fuss!

*Lir Chocolates

Who can go wrong with Chocolates? It's pretty much a staple in our house when it comes to gifts, my gran and I will always buy each other a good box of Chocolates for Christmas eve and after discovering Lir Chocolates last year, She's gotten them for Easter, Mothers day and her birthday this year already and will most likely be getting the Discovery box for her Christmas... she really likes them. The chocolates taste amazing, each beautifully crafted with sumptuous flavours and I can confirm, they are very more-ish. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Lir Discovery Collection, I have had a fair few boxes by this point and will be continuing to eat these delicious chocolate pieces (ps. the Hazelnut Gianduja one tastes AMAZING)

From Lir press release - "To mark its 30th birthday, Lir launched its Discovery Collection containing 16 hand-crafted and decorated luxury pieces. The range showcases eight mouth-watering flavours, including exotic ingredients such as Persian lime oil, Spanish pistachio and Tahitian vanilla, each encased in a Belgian chocolate exterior. With two of each delectable variety in each box and classics such as Praline, Salted Caramel and Coffee alongside sumptuous Dark Chocolate Torte and Chewy Pecan Caramel, it’s the perfect gift to delight the chocolate lover in your life. While its luxe rose gold packaging is sure to impress as this exquisite box is unwrapped!"

*New Nordic

Now, Hair supplements aren't exactly your traditional Christmas present but I think these would make a great present for that person in your life who maybe takes supplements like these regularly and who would appreciate the fact someone else thought practical for them; Or, if it is someone like me who has always thought about trying supplements but never gotten round to it, then the New Nordic Hair Volume supplements would be a fantastic gift.

The New Nordic Hair volume tablet contains apple extract along with millet, horsetail, amino acid, biotin, zinc and copper. The way the tablet works is by supplying the scalp and follicles with nutrients. I am currently taking their hair gummies before moving onto the new Hair volume tables and so far, so good. I have only been on them for 15 days at this point so not long enough for seeing a massive difference but I do enjoy the taste of the gummies, easy to take and they actually taste quite nice.

T2 Tea

Buying for a tea lover? Then you should definitely check out T2 Tea. With over 100 different teas available, T2 are masters at what they do with 100% certified sustainably sourced tea and a focus on a greener future, T2 are a great company to shop with when it comes to all your tea needs. Not only can you get different kinds of tea, they also have some beautiful, 100% ethically sourced teawears that would make the perfect gift for the tea lover in your life. I would personally recommend their Teamaker which is an absolute joy to use, it really does make the whole tea making process super easy, all the way down to sitting it upon your cup and watching as it pour directly into it.

  2. You can never go wrong with Lush, don't think you can call it Christmas without a bit of Snow Angel. The Soul Analyse bracelets are lovely, I nearly got one for my best friend but she's not that it to bracelets.

  5. These all seem like some really great gift ideas. I've never been to lush since we don't have one in my city, but the bath bombs are so cute! I might order some for somebody(and myself).
