January To Do 2020

Hello you lovely lot, Happy New Year. I hope you all had a wonderful time what ever you were doing. I sat in my PJ, watched How to get away with murder as I had an Irish Coffee, it was bliss. So, New year, new month and that means a brand new to do list! It's the start of the year and that always seems to give me motivation to stick to my goals, fingers crossed that I keep on top of them all.

It's quite surreal sitting here, typing up my January to do list because I'm still not ready for 2020, my body still feels like it's on 2019 turf which is a strange concept for me, normally I am loving the start of the new year so I can get focused but this year I am not feeling it at all, I hope this isn't a reflection of how this year will turn out haha.

Anyway, enough babbling, time to take a look at my January to do list.

• Buy Flowers - I love starting off the new year with flowers, it really brightens the place up so that's high up on my to do list.

• Clean room out - I love clearing out my room at the start of the year, I do a sort of clean out on the 31st but I like to get stuck in, getting rid of things that serve no purpose anymore.

• Buy new rug - Now that Christmas is over with, I want to start focusing on my room again. There's a big space now that I have moved my bed over a bit so a nice blush pink rug would go perfectly.

• Drink more water - I manage to keep on top of my water in take in December so I want to keep that up over January.

• Get a new LED nail lamp - My nail lamp blew just before Christmas, sods law right? and I am running low on my stock of pre-made nails so I have to get a new nail lamp, I feel naked without my nails!

• Plan something for little bears birthday - Little bears birthday is on the 12th and I still haven't made plans... BAD MUM ALERT! So now I am in panic mode trying to get something sorted out.

• Write more content - I have loads of half finished posts in my drafts so I need to get on top of that, I have been neglecting it something awful.

• Set dedicated days for taking photos - I am going to try a new plan for January, setting out specific days for taking photos instead of when the mood takes me because this system I have right now just isn't working.

• Finish all college assignments - Semester one is coming to an end now and I want to make sure that stay on top of my work which means being organised.

And that's January's to do list, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I manage to tick them all off and that this funk is only temporary. Now, let's take a look back at December's to do list.

•  Tick off the rest of the presents on my shopping list - Done and dusted, I managed to get sorted by Christmas eve.

• Wrap Presents - I would say I got everything wrapped but that would be a lie, I still have some presents to get done before I meet up with people lol.

• Finish editing my Documentary - Yep, got it done and handed in! Not my best work, I know that but I done it.

• Get blog content sorted - Ehm... kind of? I got some posts done but a lot went un-finished because we were quite sick throughout the whole of December.

• Make a gingerbread house with little bear - I managed to pick one up in Asda, we built it up but it fell apart after 5 minutes which little bear loved and he got to eat the ginger bread afterwards.

• Finish my script for a new short film - Unfortunately with being sick and busy, I didn't have much down time to work on my script.

Take blog photos - I got some done, but no where near as many as I wanted.

• Get new tree decorations - I picked up some lovely blush pink and pastel green baubles from Asda which go perfect on my wall tree.

• Drink more water - I actually managed this one, mainly because I was sick and it's all I could stomach at times.

•  Go on work placement - I went on work placement and absolutely LOVED it.

  1. Good luck with all of your goals! Happy early birthday to Bear too! I need to start doing the same thing with photos, I used to do it every Sunday, but now Sundays aren't that good for me anymore, but it's so much more productive to have that day where you know you're going to do it xx

  2. Wuhoo! Sounds like you have a lot to do in January, but a lot of it sounds fun! Planning your little one's b-day party? That seems like a blast! And fresh flowers are so lovely to have in the house! They just brighten and freshen everything up! Good luck with your list! I know you can slam 'em out of the park! <3

  3. I love a good clear out too, there's never enough bin room though. Look forward to see what you're planning for little bears birthday.

  4. That’s a great to do list. My to do list of January starts with “stop being sick”
Then there’s get on top of my blog posts because Christmas break was way less productive (but absolutely wonderful) than planned. I hope your list goes well. And I gotta ask. What’s an LED nail lamp?

  5. I'm trying to drink more water too! I'm usually good at it and generally drink a minimum of 2l a day, but when I'm bad I literally don't drink anything.
Flowers sound like a lovely way to start the year.
    Good luck!

  6. I love the Buy Flowers one. Little things like that really do make a difference, but we don't do it often enough!
