Hallotober Tag

A graphic that has "Hallotober tag" written in red with a black background

If you didn't already know, I'm obsessed with all thing's October which I spoke about in my post, Welcome to Hallotober. Everything about this month makes me happy and I love to curate content around that. So, I thought there's no better time than now to create my first ever Tag post.

I decided to create a Halloween themed Tag because of how much I adore this time of month and I though it would be fun to get other people Involved and see what other like, or don't particularly like about it.

The questions are below along with the rules and I've created a picture to go along with it for anyone who wants to use it as the main photo or within the post, although it's not required but I personally love rag posts that come with a photo to use as it makes things a little easier.

So, without further ado, welcome to the Hallotober Tag.

Rules

• Thank the person who tagged you and link to their post
• Put the rules at the beginning
• You can use the tag image somewhere in the post
• Answer the 13 questions
• Tag 13 people to do the tag
• Delete Question 13, add a new number one question of your own

1. What's your favourite thing about October?

There are so many things I love about October, the crisp ait mornings, the fact Autumn is well and truly upon us ( I have a post all about the 10 things I love about Autumn if you fancy a read) I also love that Halloween will be upon us and I can decorate the house, I love that everything in my life seems to be centered around horror and spooky things, the list goes on!

2. Are you a big celebrator of Halloween?

I am, it's my favourite time of year! I love to decorate the house which makes my soul happy and I can get all my Halloween themed candles out plus I love getting little bear excited for it.

3. What's your favourite horror movie?

I'm not sure I have just one favourite because horror is my favourite genre of film, so I enjoy quite a lot of movies in that category. But the scariest one I have seen to date is The Baba Dook.

4. Would you rather a cosy night in watching
horrors or a big night out in a costume?

Cosy night in watching movies if I'm honest because we can get food in, get cosy, light some candles and watch some good movies which is my idea of the perfect night in, but I do love getting dressed up as well and going out for Halloween, I haven't done it in a few years though sadly.

5. Which has been your most favourite costume to date?

I once went as a zombie bride, I made the whole costume myself and done a ton of SFX make up which I was really proud of and I got a bunch of compliments on it and a few people asking who done my make up which was nice to be honest. But that was also the night I had a bit too much to drink and ripped my eyebrow off because I forgot I had liquid latex over it haha.

6. Bobbing for apples or pin the hat on the witch?

Bobbing for apples! It's such a fun game.

7. How do you celebrate Halloween?

Normally we will get the house decorated and get our costumes on for going to a family house Halloween party where all the kids can have fun, play some games and go trick or treating, but this year we are doing it differently obviously because of covid.

8. What's your least favourite horror?

I remember watching a movie called bloody valentine and it was awful, the whole movie was terrible in my opinion haha.

9. Do you have a favourite trick or treating memory?

When I was really young my gran made me a Dalmatian costume as I was obsessed with 101 Dalmatians and she took me out around our street for trick or treating and I got loads of sweets and everyone loved my costume, someone even asked my gran if she took on requests for making costumes haha, then when we got back to the house my mum had made a tent in the living room with the mattresses and only had candles lit for light. That night we all camped out in the living room, eating sweets and having fun.

10. What's your favourite thing about Halloween?

It used to be being able to get dressed up and making different costumes, I love being able to turn into someone different for the night with make up and clothes. But now that I have little bear, it's watching him get excited and thinking up new ways to make Halloween memorable.

11. Scary costume or Silly costume?

Scary costume! Always a scary one for me.

12. What's your favourite Halloween candy?

I honestly don't have one, I used to love getting candy or toffee apples when I was younger though.

13. Ghost decorations or skeleton decorations?

Hmm, probably skeleton decorations as we have quite a lot of them haha.

  2. Great tag!! I am with you with number 4! I love the cosy side of autumn and lighting a candle and getting cosy. I used to be so into Nightmare on Elm Street back in the day. It's so dated if you watch it back now! :) x

  3. Just the trailers alone for The Baba Dook scared me, so I can totally understand that movie being frightening. Also, your Dalmatian costume sounded absolutely adorable!

Such a fun tag! Thanks again for tagging me.

  8. Thankyou for creating such an awesome tag! It’s my favourite holiday, too :) I have been tagged to join in, so I can’t wait to answer over on my blog!

Crisp Autumn mornings are the best; even though it’s getting very cold out now, I love sitting outside with a cup of tea and watching the colourful leaves fall from our apple blossom tree :)

Halloween themed candles are so nice and I always try to stock up on a load of them to use for the rest of the year :)

Your zombie bride costume sounds super cool! I’ve tried a little SFX makeup before & I sucked at it XD I’d love to try again in the future & get good. Maybe a project for next year?

Awww your Halloween memory is so sweet & this post was a lovely read :)
