Homeware Christmas Gift Guide

With Christmas just around the corner, people all over the world are preparing for the big day, so what better time to share some Homeware inspired gifts with you all. Since becoming an adult (what does that even mean, am I right?) I have been adding more homeware gifts to my list because apparently when you hit your late 20's, you get excited over presents like hoovers... what? since when? So, this gift guide is packed with presents to suit all budgets for those homebodies in our lives.

Please note that some of these products have been provided for the purpose of this Gift guide and will be marked with a '*'. However, I wouldn't feature anything that I wouldn't personally recommend, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Each gift idea below would make a perfect gift for the adults of the group, from beautiful portraits to seriously heavenly scented wax melts, there is something for everyone.

If you have someone in your life who just adores their pet, why not surprise them with a stunning portrait of their furry friend from Portrait pals. A pet becomes part of the family, they are loved dearly, and a pet portrait is the perfect gift to capture the pet's essence to proudly be displayed in a frame.

On portrait pals you can choose the artist that fits the style you are looking for and there are a range of prices to suit all budgets, starting at £25 for a quick painted portrait (like the one I was sent) with complimentary gift wrap and card (until December 18th) , you'll get a beautiful gift that anyone would be excited to receive.

Portrait pals is a social enterprise with a mission to help people grow. They are an artist marketplace, selling charitable pet portraits and bespoke gifts. Portrait pals helps artists develop the skills and confidence they need to sell their work whilst making a community contribution. They set aside 20% of their online proceeds for community leadership and skill-building workshops and at live funding events, 100% of their proceeds are donated to the charities they work with.

I never thought I would be featuring a knife set in one of my gift guides but here we are, and I have no regrets. I was kindly gifted the Furi Pro East/West Santoku Knife set that comes in a beautiful wooden box, it really does look very luxurious but there is also a Pro East/West Santoku & Diamond Fingers™Set that comes with the two knives and This set comes with the Furi Diamond Fingers™ Knife Sharpener to keep your knives as good as new.

This is the perfect gift for the foodies out there who love to cook and would appreciate these great quality knives, they are an affordable cooking companion that would suit beginners and pro's alike, the set takes the unrelenting sharpness from the East and matches it with the unrivalled strength from the West. It can be used for varied cutting tasks from fine chopping to dicing and slicing, making it perfect for those who love cooking from scratch. The scalloped indentations on the blade reduce cutting friction to make slicing faster and easier.

I honestly can't believe just how good these knifes are, they are weighted perfectly, have a good handle to grip and make slicing and chopping easy. I have used these knifes a few times when cooking dinner and I personally love them. So why not make the foodie in your life burst with excitement with a new cooking utensil that they can show off at the next dinner party.

Normally you can't go wrong with a candle, most people love them, and it is always a present that goes down well on Christmas day. As someone who enjoys candles and 'smelly' things, the winter forest candle and reed diffuser from Arran sense of Scotland would be the perfect present duo for the candle lover in your life. I can attest to the fact the scent is amazing, it really does remind me of winter and the reed diffuser is taking pride of place in the hall down stairs where a few people have already commented on the beautiful scent.

Anyone would be chuffed to receive some beautifully made candles or exquisitely scented reed diffusers under their tree on the 25th December, plus there are lots more products on their website that would be perfect for Christmas.

Arran sense of Scotland is proudly made in Scotland (if you couldn't already guess) and they are inspired by nature. For three decades they have been creating vibrant, evocative scents from their home farm factory and have grown significantly since they began as a small family soap business and have held true to their island heritage. Crafting the aroma is at the heart of each and every thing that they create, from their soaps to their candles they all start with the subtle art of perfumery.

A piece of furniture may not seem like the traditional gift you would buy at Christmas but hear me out. As someone who takes pride in my room and likes good, sturdy furniture, I would LOVE to receive this bedside table from Top furniture for my Christmas. I think this would be the perfect present for someone who maybe has a new home, is updating their house, needs a new bedside table or would really appreciate solid oak furniture.

The Toulouse white painted 2 drawer bedside table is a beautifully crafted piece of furniture plus it is so much bigger than I expected which goes perfectly with the bed that I have. It gives off a very luxurious feel and I have had many compliments on it from friends who have been in my room. The drawers are a great size, nice and deep so they hold a lot. The drawers are also a good weight and you can tell its good quality straight away. The Toulouse drawers were crafted using a tensile & durable wood which was sourced from sustainable sources, it is finished to the highest standard using white coloured paint which add to the modern feel of this bedside table. It has a 90mm thick cornice detailed top with rounded corners and if you are someone like me who loathes flat pack furniture and would feel better giving this as a gift already built, then you are in luck because Top furniture deliver the drawers already assembled.

Top furniture have showrooms in Dartford, Kent, Uttoxeter and Staffordshire, if any of these places are local or accessible to you, then you can pop in and see the quality for yourself plus get a feel for their furniture.

I must admit, Ramen bowls are the present I never knew I needed... seriously, I am in love with these Ramen bowls from Sous Chef, although I have yet to make ramen, these bowls get used the most in my house. I have my vegetable Chow Mein in them and that is pretty much my favourite dinner at the moment which is made around 4 nights a week (it actually is my favourite dinner) but I am planning on making ramen soon, all thanks to this set as it comes with a ramen recipe book which is bursting with information on ramen like how to make your own ramen noodles, four different recipes to try and more.

This is the Chouseki ramen bowl set that comes with a recipe booklet, two chouseki ramen bowls, two ramen ladles and a reusable drawstring cotton gift bag. This really is an amazing set to gift someone this Christmas wither that be someone who loves Ramen, an avid cook or someone who would appreciate trying out something new. The set is amazing quality, the bowls are a good weight and I personally love the design of them but Sous chef have a range of different designs you can choose from plus this post on the Sous Chef blog - What is Ramen? - would be a good link to send the recipient if they are new to this dish like myself.

Sous Chef is a shop for people who love to cook, they are the online place to be for cooks and chefs with the likes of ingredients, equipment, tableware and gifts inspired by the leading restaurants and international food available on Sous Chefs website.  Sous Chef ships to thousands of customers every week from home cooks to some of the top Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe.

So, you have someone who loves candles and wax melts, maybe you have a friend who just loves trying different scents and shapes when it comes to their wax melts ( I have a friend like this and she would LOVE these wax melts) Well then you have to check out The Magical Moon Lagoon. There is nothing I love better than supporting small businesses, especially at Christmas time. I have a full profile coming out about The Magical Moon Lagoon as Luna has so kindly agreed to be interviewed so I won't go into too much detail here, but Luna is so lovely, and the products are honestly amazing.

When I received the wax melts I was blown away, I was not expecting them to be as big as they were (you really are getting a lot of bang for your buck) and the scents are HEAVEN! my personal favourites have to be Cocktail O'Clock Melt Happy Hour and the Christmaaaas! melt (the one with the Christmas tree on it) , although they all smell great, those two are my favourites. I can also attest to the fact that when you melt these, your house will smell like the best place on earth so these little wax melts would be a great present or stocking filler. Not only do you get great products, you are supporting a small business.

Sticking with the candle theme, I Love Cosmetics have some beautiful candles and reed diffusers out that would be the perfect cherry on top so to speak for Christmas. Their Violet dreams scent is truly heavenly, and the reed diffuser is subtle, yet very nice. It isn't over powering which I like, and I swear it is the scent of Parma violets which makes total sense with the name. I can honestly say that I 100% recommend this scent, it is everything I didn't know I needed from a reed diffuser. They also have such beautiful packaging; the candle came in a little bag that is good quality and padded which protects the candle.

I love cosmetics have free delivery on orders over £25 at the moment which means getting a little Christmas haul is a good idea, no shipping costs! They also have a range of different products from shower gel to accessories and bags, there will be something for everyone.

I love cosmetics is against animal testing, made in the UK and vegan friendly which just makes this company even better to shop with. I love is proud of their British roots and are committed to sourcing and manufacturing the vast majority of their products from UK suppliers. Since I love launched in 2009, the company has grown successfully around the world, even winning the Queens award for international trade in 2013.

Tea wear

If you have someone like me in your life, someone who just adores tea wear and receiving anything to do with tea, then you can't go wrong with a tea cup and saucer. This little beauty was picked up in Asda at their home section and for only £5, you really cannot go wrong with this. There are also places like TJ Hughes, B&M, Tesco, Aldi, New look, even Poundland all have such beautiful teawear. This little beauty isn't only great for someone who just enjoys tea, it is also great for the Disney lover in your life.
