AD | What My Dream Studio and Office would look like

I like to live in a fantasy world from time to time. And when I’m in that world I like to imagine what my dream house would look like or my dream office. So, I took to The Sims 4 to bring my dream studio and office to life!

I love the sims 4, it’s a magical game and living out my dream life is a role play I like to indulge in from time to time. With that being said, it’s only natural that I create what I want my dream studio and office to look like. I would LOVE to have a space of my own to create, run my business and have a place to get together with clients and other creators. That’s why I went all out with this build, making the ultimate studio and office space for me.

The Dream

Ideally I would love to have a building somewhere that I could call work. Working from home is good and all, but if I had somewhere to go it would make the work – home life balance a whole lot better. It would also give me more space to create and work on projects. If I could have a building just like the one I created, I would be in heaven. They layout would be ideal and the space is just, chefs kiss!

The outside at the front of the building would have to be colourful with lots of amazing plants. I like the idea of different plants and unique items to create an uplifting and happy place. The whole idea is to make it as welcoming as possible.

Because I want the outside to stand out, I would LOVE to get some outdoor, commercial LED lighting. It would be as eco friendly as possible and be able to withstand all weather condition because it would be in Scotland after all!

Waiting/Entrance Area

Upon coming into the office/studio, there is a little seating area where people can wait and chill out for a while. I wanted the inside to be unique, that’s why I went for some bold wallpaper and and some interesting furniture.

From the waiting area you walk out into the hallway which has doors going to the bathroom, photo studio, office and meeting room. Again, I wanted some bold and interesting wallpaper, that’s why I chose a panelled base and beautiful pink leaf one. I wouldn’t have too much clutter in this area because I want it to feel open and inviting. There’s also a raised up section. Ideally it wouldn’t be a step but instead a ramp to make it accessible.

The Bathroom

Again, I wanted something unique with the bathroom and to keep my love of pink, I went with this wall design. I also got to match the stalls to the colour in the walls so that was a dream. The bathroom would be big and open, with necessary adjustments to make them accessible.

Meeting Room

The meeting room is my absolute favourite from the whole build. I wanted to create a chill and relaxing environment that inspires creativity and allows for collaborations. The point of this space is to come together with clients or other creatives to work together and come up with inspiring content.

I went with cloud walls for this room, it seemed fitting for the space. Although the wallpaper is the same throughout this space, there are two separate areas. One for conducting meetings at a table facing onto a TV for showing presentations etc. I love the chairs used here because they look so cool and comfy at the same time.

In the second area, I wanted to create a space that is more relaxed with chairs to sink into. This is the conversational area or the consultation area. It’s a space for getting to know people and talking through ideas as well as drawing up plans. I just had to have some lovely art work in this area to inspire.

This area would also have some LED panels around the roof so that I can change the colours or set the mood whilst looking sleek and stylish!

Photo Studio

Because I absolutely adore photography and it’s always been a dream of mine to own my own studio, I couldn’t help but incorporate it into this build. This space would be perfect of photographing for campaigns, clients and more. In this area I would like to display photos of my own on the walls to help me remember I can do this, plus I’m proud when I take a good photo. Unfortunately I have no idea how to put my own photos in, so I had to use these beautiful ones from the gallery.

I would like this space to have brick because I like the idea of a loft/industrial feel for the room. I would also need space to keep my equipment and such.

Office

I would honestly pass out if I was given this office because, SPACE! Space is a huge issue I have at the moment so creating an office space that would be perfect for keeping all products for reviews, paperwork, own products and more is just, it makes me so envious that I don’t have it in real life!

I went with another beautiful and unique wall design for this room, incorporating pink in there. Some cabinets and storage is a must.

Recording Room

Off of the office is the video room. This would be somewhere I could make videos talking about products and showing them off. A place to make youtube videos or edit videos for clients etc. I made sure to include some green screen walls as I also would love to stream sims on twitch, but that’s a whole other dream getting placed in this haha.

Outside

As well as having some space inside, I would love to have an outdoor area where work can be done in the sun or have a little break and unwind. Again, I would love the step to be a ramp to make it accessible and also I would love to have somewhere that you could relax on some bean bag chairs.

And there you have it, my dream studio and office space. I would be in heaven if this were actually mine, I’m so jealous of my sims!

  6. This all looks like the perfect set up! And I agree it’s hard to get a balance when you are working from home. It’s been over a year for me due to the pandemic and although there are benefits to it, it’s not that simple!
