Review | Seventeen Matt Lipsticks

Seventeen Matt Lipstick

I've never been a big lipstick fan growing up, I've loved highlighter, foundation and in particular mascara but I've never been one to play around with lipsticks and I always thought "I just don't suit them" but when the lovely people at seventeen sent me a bunch of lipsticks to try along with some other make up bits and pieces, I thought it was high time I started to experiment with some colours.

My first trial of the bunch was "Back to the fuchsia" which is a lovely bright pink shade. I instantly fell in love! Once it was on my lips my eyes lit up and I knew, I just knew that I would now be wearing lipstick any chance I got! The colour lasted forever, I was so surprised by it as I always hear of people having to touch up their lipstick but not me, I didn't have to. I wore it to the Girls Day out blogger event and not once did I have to top it up, it stayed on all night... yes, ALL NIGHT! (Well for about 5 hours, that's how long I was out) And that's with eating and drinking prosecco. I was very pleased with this lipstick, for my first time I think it went well and it only prompted me to start trying out the others.

For my second lipstick I went for "Riojo your world" It's a beautiful shade for autumn and it goes perfect with my new burgundy and plum bag plus little black dress. It gives me some added colour whilst being very complimentary to my accessories. I can see me wearing it a lot this autumn to events or nights out. Again, the colour lasted amazingly! I didn't have to top it up and I even got a compliment of how well the colour suited me, I will take that as a win.

These lipsticks from Seventeen go on very smoothly, I love how they feel on my lips and it didn't feel drying at all. Apparently this lipstick lasts up to 13 hours and believe me, I am convinced it does. I had to use my lip scrub to get it all off properly, the staying power is amazing. It's great because I can feel confident in my lipstick, I don't need to worry it will be all over the place or faded. For me, these Matt lipsticks are amazing and I am so pleased it's been my first real experience with lipstick, it's opened up a whole new world to me.

  6. Wow, I haven't bought 17 for ages, but I used to all the time. I'm not a lippy wearer either, I concentrate on my eyes, but I think that's a confidence thing. #ablogginggoodtime

  8. I only use lip glosses and can barely remember the last time I used a lipstick. I will try giving this lipstick a go. This gives me an awesome opportunity to be adventurous as well as give myself a treat.

  10. The colour payoff on these lipsticks are amazing! I love the Back to the Fuchsia shade and it has a great name.. 13 hours is an insanely good amount of hours for a lipstick to last!
