50 Things I’m Grateful For: A Heartfelt List [Last Updated – July 2024]

Sometimes in life we tend to forget about all the good things and focus on the bad.

When something happens that stirs up negativity in our lives, we can lose focus of what really matters.

I know I am extremely guilty of not showing gratitude as much as should, so today I wanted to break that cycle and talk about some thing’s I’m grateful for.

There are so many things I’m grateful for in life, but I don’t always appreciate them.

If I’m being 100% honest, I don’t show my gratitude nearly enough as I should.

That’s why it’s important to me to change this and start really paying attention to all those little moments in life.

I realised the other night when sitting down to create my gratitude journal that I have such a blessed life.

I feel incredibly lucky to have the things I do in my life and have the family and friends that I have.

I’m so blessed to have had such amazing opportunities come my way throughout my blogging journey! When I started I had no idea just how much it would enrich my life.

When I think about where I was in life when I was 16, I realise I have came a long way.

From a rocky childhood filled with many things that could have broke me and no one would believe, to now being in a position where I live a great life and I have two beautiful sons with amazing people around me.

If you would have told 16 year old me that this would be my life now, owning a small business and doing a job I love with my own little family, I would have laughed in your face.

It’s strange how different our paths can turn out to be, isn’t it?

Anyway, enough of the past!

Let’s dive in and take a look at some things I’m grateful for.

I am so grateful for a lot of things in my life, I may not always show it, but I really am.

Just being alive is enough!

Especially after so many attempts to not being here anymore, life had another plan for me and I truly believe that.

It just wasn’t my time to go and I am so so SO grateful for that, otherwise I wouldn’t have my two sons who are the most precious people in my life.

I think we all just need to take a moment each day and think about the things we are grateful for.

Truly think about them and practice some more mindfulness techniques.

Maybe if everyone did, the world would be a nicer place.

  1. What a great post, it's always nice to share things that make us happy. Such a great way to feel positive. Yours is a great list too, and totally reminded me that I haven't been to Ikea in so long!xxHannah

  2. Such a lovely compilation Jordanne! I love that your son's smile was the first thing you mentioned, and I like your inclusion of teeth & nails as well :') It's honestly things like that that we tend to overlook & forget how wonderful they really are. Today I am grateful that I received my letter of acceptance into the university here in my home town; I'm excited to be transferring there in the fall! xxx

  3. It's funny, when I start making lists of things I'm grateful for my bed is always one of the first things I think about! Especially after you come off a long haul plane ride, I never appreciate my bed more than then. Julia

  4. I absolutely love this post Jordanne. I would love to do something similar. I think there’s a tendency to complain so it’s good to shift focus.
