My April To Do List: 2020 Edition

April is here and life feels upside down.

We are living through a pandemic, a lockdown, and endless uncertainty. March felt chaotic, but I want to keep up with my routine.

A to do list helps me stay focused, even if I’m just pottering around the house.

This April to do list is all about home life, little joys, and keeping my mind busy.

Why an April To Do List Matters Right Now

Lockdown can leave days feeling long and repetitive.

Having a simple list keeps me motivated and stops boredom creeping in.

My April to do list is practical, fun, and achievable.

It mixes productive tasks with creative moments so I can balance work, play, and rest.

1. Get on top of blog maintenance

I need to give my blog some much needed TLC.

This includes updating old posts, adding ALT text to images, and checking SEO.

Blog maintenance may sound dull, but it’s satisfying to see everything neat, tidy, and optimised.

A fresh blog boosts traffic and gives readers a better experience. It’s high on my April to do priorities.

2. Read more blogs and return comments

I’ve fallen behind with blog reading and replying to comments.

Anxiety made me avoid it, but that only piled things up. This month, I’m diving back in. Connecting with other bloggers is inspiring, and returning comments builds a lovely sense of community.

Blog love is firmly on my April to do list.

3. Have a fun Easter week at home

Little Bear deserves an Easter full of joy, even during lockdown.

I’ve got a cute Easter bunny bag from Everythingcraftyuk, and I’m filling it with surprises.

Activity sheets, baking bits, and a checklist of games will keep us entertained.

Easter fun feels like the perfect addition to my April to do ideas.

4. Sort out college work

College work has been hanging over my head, and the uncertainty has been stressful.

This month, I’m making a clear list of what’s done and what’s left.

Staying organised helps me feel in control. Sorting college work is one of the most important things on my April to do list.

5. Clear out the spare room drawers

Decluttering makes me feel calmer.

I’ve started clearing drawers in my room, and now the spare room is calling my name.

Tidying helps with organisation and gives me something hands-on to do.

A little spring clean fits perfectly on my April to do list.

6. Create new nail designs

I bought new pastel gel colours and want to experiment with nail art.

I’ve already made a set, but I’d love to create more designs.

Playing with colours feels fun and relaxing.

This small creative project is the treat section of my April to do.

Looking Back at March’s To Do List

March feels like a lifetime ago.

Lockdown flipped everything, but I did manage to tick a few things off.

  • Get back on track – This one slipped away. Life got messy, and I gave myself space to adjust.
  • Have more family time – Self isolation gave us endless family time. It’s been both a blessing and a challenge.
  • Start making more video content – I didn’t create for my blog, but I did film video diaries for my HND.
  • Go on an adventure with Little Bear – Before lockdown, we managed one big nature walk. I’m glad we had that moment.
  • Finish a film project – Productions were cancelled, so this stayed unfinished. I wasn’t as upset as I expected.
  • Be more regular with posts – I posted more in March than February, so I’ll count that as progress.
  • Celebrate Teddy’s 18th – We couldn’t make it to the Four Seasons cat getaway, but Teddy still had a birthday fit for a king. He sipped Pawsecco, enjoyed a cat food cupcake, and went to bed one very happy kitty.
  • Drink more water – With nowhere to rush off to, I finally kept on top of my water intake. No distractions, just hydration success!

Wrapping Up My April To Do List

This year looks nothing like I imagined, but creating a focused April to do list helps me stay grounded.

It reminds me that small goals matter. Whether it’s keeping my blog fresh, decluttering drawers, or making pastel nails, these tasks give me structure and joy.

Even in the middle of chaos, we can still make April productive, creative, and meaningful.
