Taking a Look at My December To-Do List | 2022 Edition

It feels so strange saying that this is the last to do list post of the year!

I swear it was summer only a few weeks ago yet here we are, getting prepared for Christmas and New Year’s.

Before we know it this month will be over and 2023 will be beginning.

Feels strange doesn’t it? Time really is moving at a weird pace and it’s messing with my mind.

But enough of my rambling. I could chat about time and my fascination with the perception of it for hours.

That’s not today’s post topic though, instead it’s all about my December to-do list.

Let’s take a Look at My December To-Do List

Wrap all Christmas presents

I swore that this year I would have all the presents bought and wrapped before December, but that didn’t work out quite like I hoped.

I’m still waiting on things being delivered which worries me a little as Christmas is almost here. But, I’m trying to trust in the universe and hoping that it all comes in time.

So, my plan is to wrap what I’ve got already by sticking on a Christmas movie while Little Bear is at school and get the wrapping underway.

Make plans for delivering presents

With Christmas almost here, I need to get all the presents delivered in time for the big day. So, I need a plan to deliver them all.

Normally they would be done by now but with getting the flu, I’ve been out of the game for a while.

We have quite a few different family members to make stops to, and I’m so excited. This year with the present deliveries we are also dropping off some baked goods.

Every year we try to do something a little different with our deliveries to make it fun for all the kids. And this year Little Bear has chosen to bake some festive shortbread for everyone. 

Be organised and prepared for taking 2 weeks off

This will be the first year in many that I’m actually taking some time off from the blog and work.

Although I’ve already started the preparations such as not taking on too much work nor committing myself to gift guides and such, I still need to finalise some stuff.

My to-do list for this includes the following:

• Schedule all twitter promotion for the year
• Schedule comment threads for January
• Clear out blog comments and reply to, plus return them.
• Chase up a few invoices
• Schedule Facebook page posts
• Schedule Pinterest pins
• Finalise writing jobs for January
• Get blog advertising sorted
• Batch take photos
• And more!

Make a start on promotional material for new products

In the new year I have a few new products going live on my Gumroad and Etsy stores.

Included in the line of new products is new and improved blog planners! I already have one live on my Etsy store in a pink style, but more designs are coming and I can’t wait.

This month I would like to get the new promotional material sorted for them so I can get some stuff scheduled to announce them.

Clear out emails

At the end of every year I like to make sure my inbox is empty, all emails are replied to and there is nothing outstanding.

I love going into a new year knowing it’s all fresh and organised to start the year on.

So, I plan on tackling them and clearing out my inbox.

Make 5 sales on Etsy

I’m so happy to say that I have surpassed my goal of 20 sales on Etsy for this year!

It’s been a long process working on my Etsy and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. So, to actually have hit my goal of 20 sales makes me very proud.

I’m also incredibly thankful to everyone who has bought a product, shared them, liked them and just generally supported me along the way.

It means more than anyone will ever know. When you have a little online business it’s scary and turns your world inside out trying to make it work, and boy do I work at this. So to have people who support my Etsy buy engaging and buying, is a dream come true.

I would love to keep the momentum up and finish off the year with 30 total sales!

A look back at November’s To-Do List

Create an at home office

Very happy to say that I did indeed create an at home office!

To say I am in love with it is an understatement.

Get the rest of Little Bears presents

Unfortunately I didn’t finish this one in November.

It ended up seeping into December but I have it all now.

Figure out what to get my gran and other half

Happy to say that this is a massive one ticked off!

I finally figured out what to get them. Can’t wait to see their faces on Christmas day.

Create sets of Winter and Christmas nails

Yep, ticked this one off!

I have a lovely pale pink with gold glitter set, a red glitter set and a green glitter set.

Clear out Little Bears room

Another one I ticked off the list!

We got little bears room gutted out and ready for Santa coming.
