AD | Budget Friendly Ways to Financially Protect Your Family
Protecting our families is something I’m sure is on all of our minds, especially now. I know that I have been looking for budget friendly ways that I can keep my family financially safe.
Having that peace of mind that should something happen, I’m coved is a huge weight off my mind, allowing to me leave the worry behind.
So, I am sharing three ways that I am protecting my family financially on a budget to help you get some ideas.
Budget Friendly Ways to Financially Protect Your Family
Start An Emergency Fund
We never know what’s around the corner. Life has so many twists and turns in it and it can be hard to know when and if you will need money to help your situation. So, starting an emergency fund is a great way to plan for the unknown.
I started an emergency fund back in 2019 and I am so glad that I did, especially with the way things are right now. It helped me save a little here and there and eventually it all added up to a pretty decent sum.
I would save all my pound coins in a bank and each week I would put £5-£20 away. But, I always made sure that it didn’t effect my budget and would amend it to suit my income.
Insure Your Gadgets
Another way to protect your family financially is to insure your gadgets. When your items get broken, lost or stolen, having them insured can help you with the costs of replacing or repairing your items.
Choosing an insurance company such as Protect Your Family can give you pace of mind in knowing you’re covered.
Having your items insured could be a big money saver as you won’t have to fork out a heap of money that you may not have at the time.
There’s lots of plans available and you can customise your cover so that it suits your needs. It’s super easy and quick to get a quote so why not get yours today!
Life Insurance
Life insurance has always been something that I planned to get ever since I had my little one in 2014. I talked about it a little in my post Financial Planning | 3 Ways to Plan for the Future and I am convinced it was one of the best moves I’ve made.
I lost my mother quite young and I wish she had life insurance because it would have been a huge help financially as we were devastated both emotionally and financially by her death.
Knowing that if I pass away young, my son will have that security blanket of money and if I don’t, the policy will continue until I do and he will still be entitled to a payout.
I pay £10 a month and in the grand scheme of things, it’s not a lot to pay for peace of mind.
