Let’s dive in shall we?

When it comes to creating an Easter basket for Kids they will adore, there are a few key elements you have to consider.

Let’s look at the essential steps to ensure your Easter basket is a hit!

Selecting the right base is the foundation of your Easter Basket creation.

The basket or bucket that you choose is what brings the whole thing together! It can really make or break the overall result when you’re finished.

And remember, the base doesn’t have to actually be a basket in the traditional sense, you can use anything you like.

Here are some tips to help you create the best basket possible:

First of all you’ll want to choose a basket that’s sturdy and appropriately sized for your child’s age and your plans.

You don’t want one that will be too big or too small, just enough to accommodate the goodies you’ll include.

A little like goldilocks, right?

Make sure you choose one that you can fill the space easily, it’s all well and good going for bigger thinking it’s better, but that’s not always the case.

You don’t want to create a basket that has tons of empty space as that will downgrade the overall look and vibe of the Easter basket.

Another thing to look out for when choosing an Easter Basket for Kids is the material the basket is crafted from.

I highly recommend opting for a basket that’s made from eco-friendly materials such as bamboo, wood, wicker, or fabric.

These options are not only environmentally friendly but also durable and reusable for future Easters or as storage.

It’s better to get something that has more than one use so that it doesn’t end up in landfill, creating more waste.

I also highly recommend considering the personalisation options of the basket base as well.

You could go for a basket that is your child’s favourite colour, or can be painted.

I personally like to choose baskets that can be customised with the likes of a Personalised Easter Basket Name Tag.

This adds a special touch that makes the basket uniquely theirs.

Once you have the perfect basket base selected, it’s time to fill it with delightful items!

I always try to make sure Easter baskets for kids are uniquely tailored to each child, and that includes what I put in it.

Here’s some of my top tips on how to choose the contents with care:

When you’re creating the basket, make sure to tailor the contents to your child’s interests and age.

This will help in eliminating items that may never be touched or end up in landfill after one use.

Make sure you consider their hobbies or favourite characters, and choose items that align with those themes.

For example, you wouldn’t put a water-pistol in a basket for a baby, and you wouldn’t include the likes of a Gummee teether in one for a 9 year old.

And pro tip, if you’re making a basket for someone else’s child, always make sure you have their consent to add the likes of high sugar sweets, toy guns, scary masks, chewing gum etc.

Another thing to consider when choosing items for the Easter Basket for Kids is adding in Easter themed items.

Make sure to incorporate traditional Easter items such as Chocolate Easter eggs, bunny-themed toys, or springtime crafts.

These kinds of items help maintain the Easter spirit and make it extra special for the children.

But a word to the wise, don’t go overboard with themed crafts as the items will most likely be shoved to the back of a cupboard somewhere.

Keep it on theme without overloading the basket with Easter themed crafts or items.

If you want to add in craft items, why not use the likes of a Arts and Crafts mega bundle.

I highly recommend that when you’re choosing items for the Easter Basket, that you look for items that are not only cost effective, but also sustainable.

Think along the lines of Wooden play toys, Fun Children’s books, Arts and Crafts, Multi-use toys etc.

This will help cut down on the amount of waste created and single use toys.

Plus, it makes sense from a money standpoint as you want to get as much ‘bang for your buck’, so to speak.

Now comes the fun part, putting the Easter Basket together!

Want to make it the absolute best it can be? Then these upcoming tips are for you.

You’ll want to start by taking the basket and lining it with kraft tissue paper or fabric scraps for a colourful base.

Not only does it look great and add a pop of colour, it also helps to protect the items once added.

I personally like to use Kraft Tissue Paper for baskets as I love how it looks when it’s all finished. Plus, they have a good colour range to choose from.

Next you’ll want to place larger items at the back of basket and smaller ones at the front.

This will help create a visually appealing display and allows for all the items to be seen.

It might take a few trys, but you’ll get there! Don’t be afraid to start over of change things around, sometimes a simple switch of two items can make all the difference.

Once you’ve done the arranging and are happy with it, it’s time to add on some personal touches.

Why not use the likes of Biodegradable Cellophane wrap to make the basket look extra special!

You could also add things like bows, personalised Easter Basket name tags or gift notes.

But, what can make it’s EVEN MORE exciting to the child is creating a sort of “theme” to follow when putting it altogether.

So, to help you get the ideas flowing, here are some popular Easter Basket themes you could try out.

Think of adding in items such as a Mermaid Doll, an Ocean Puzzle set, Sea Creature crafting kit, a Mermaid themed book, or a Custom Paint your own Mermaid Name.

These would make amazing gifts for any Mermaid enthusiast this Easter.

For children out there who love the thrill of speed, a car themed basket would be sure to impress.

You could fill it with items such as Toy cars, a Mini race track, Personalised Car Sweater, or a Car themed activity book.

Any of these items would be a fantastic fit for children who love cars!

For an Easter Basket for Kids who love space, consider adding the likes of a Personalised LED Space Rocket Night light, Space themed puzzles, and Glow in the dark stars.

It really is a rewarding and joyful experience to craft one and see it all come together at the end.

Whether you choose a classic theme or something more unique, the happiness on the child’s face will make it all worthwhile.

Remember, the best Easter baskets are those filled with love and thoughtfulness, and don’t need to be expensive.

Try looking at places like charity shops (thrift stores), supermarkets clearance sections, online market places etc.

Shopping second hand can really keep the costs low, especially on Easter themed items!

I hope this guide has inspired you to create an Easter basket that exudes magic and thoughtfulness for children.

Happy Easter, and happy crafting!
