If you’re anything like me, then you’ll be excited and dreaming of Halloween season.

So, to honor Halfway to Halloween and get excited for it, I wanted to share a movie marathon to celebrate.

For this movie marathon I’ve selected my top picks in movies that you can watch, as well as snack ideas and a movie itinerary.

Snack/Food ideas

The food for you Halloween movie marathon is an integral part of making it a success! Because let’s face it, good food while watching movies really does take it up a level, doesn’t it?

When it comes to movie nights, snacks are my ultimate favourite. I will go all out and make sure there’s something for everybody, that way we can chill out and watch the movies without having to get up and get stuff.

I also love being able to come up with different ideas and themes depending on what we are watching.

As snacks are super important, here’s some ideas on what to eat on your Halfway to Halloween Movie Marathon.

Themed cookies

Cookies are great for snacking on and loved by many. So, why not have a go at making your own or ordering some in.

There are so many themed cookies you could do such as Bats, Pumpkins, Ghosts, Black Cats and more.

Sweets/Candy

Having some bowls filled with different nibbles/sweets such as M&Ms, Pick’n’mix, candy fangs, Haribo and more, is perfect for grazing through a movie.

It’s nice to have different options set out that you can pick through while you’re in a movie marathon. It covers a range of preferences from hard candy to chocolate.

For your bowls, think about the sweets that you and those participating in the movie marathon like. A variety of 6 different items is a good number of items to aim for.

This is also a great option for minimal effort but still looking thought out. Just pour the items to the bowls and that’s you done.

I personally recommend a bag of Popcorn each for watching the movies, always a winner.

Hot Food

Want to put out some hot food to eat during the movie marathon? Then here are some ideas on hot food that are perfect for setting out.

There’s no rules when it comes to a movie night that says you can’t mix and match. So go wild, pick as many as you want and enjoy yourself.

I like to go for a mix of genres, for instance slasher and then psychological. I find mixing it up helps keep me interested so that it doesn’t get boring.

But, it’s always fun to have a movie marathon where you watch all the movies in the series like Halloween or Scream.

Something that I find makes a movie night special and unique, is creating an itinerary. use it as a way to map out the night and showcase what’s in store.

I love figuring out run times so that I can plan out what movies will go on on and factoring in breaks. I also love putting the snacks on the menu as well as drink choices.
