My August To-Do List | 2021 Edition

Here we are, another month into the year and somehow my birthday is fast approaching. I say it every time, but I’ll say it again, where has this year gone!

Next month is my birthday month and it feels surreal saying that because it feels like I only turned 28 a few months ago. But that’s a chat for next month and the identity crisis I’m having over being 30 next year.

Instead, it’s time to focus on my August to-do list for 2021. If you fancy seeing what I got up to in July and if I ticked off my to do list from last month, check out my July Roundup post.

August To-Do List

• Get everything ready for LB returning to School

Little bear will be going into primary 3 on the 16th August and I’m not ready. I can’t believe my baby boy is growing so fast and already in primary 3, its scary.

So far I’ve been doing quite well with getting school supplies in bit by bit, but there are a few items still left to get.

LB hasn’t chosen a pack lunch box yet nor had he decided on which jacket or bag he would like. As someone who likes to be super organised, I feel like the clock is ticking and we have to get these items ASAP before the shops are all out.

• Have more days out

In July we had so many amazing days out and experiences. So, I want to have as many as possible before little bear goes back to school.

I want to make lots of memories and make sure he can say he’s had a good time over the holidays. Because we have been locked up for almost a year, thanks corona! I have been determined to make up for lost time.

• Get prepped for Grans birthday

As it’s also my grans birthday month in September (she’s two days before me), I have to start getting prepped for it.

This is where my being organised trait comes in. I feel like if I haven’t got it all bought and prepared before September that I’m unprepared and I hate that.

So this month I’ll be looking for some interesting and unique gifts for her.

If you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments!

• View some houses

After dragging our feet on getting a house, we’ve started the process and damn is it scary.

We are hoping to view a couple this month and if all goes well, we could be home owners by the end of the year!

Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed on this one.

• Work on content

In July I was on an upward movement with content. I felt like I was finally back into the rhythm of things and then we started getting busy with days out and such.

It’s not a bad thing, Real life outside of the Internet takes priority but I would like to get organised and into that swing of it again.

• Create some new products

I have so many ideas for products written down in my phone notes and blog planner but I have yet to work on them.

With being quite busy in July I found it hard to focus on anything other than making sure LB has a good summer break.

So, this month when he goes back to school I would like to work on creating new products.

• Clear credit card balance

Due to having lots of days out and such, I have been using my credit card a lot more.

I wish I didn’t, but after loosing my bank card (YAY, but not) I have been freely tapping the credit card when I felt like it.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a high amount on the balance, it’s £265, but I would still like to get it cleared before the end of August.

I do have until September 12th to clear it, but I hate having the balance high for too long.

And that’s my August to do list. I’m hoping to tick them all off come my August roundup post, fingers crossed! What’s on your to do list this August? Let me know in the comments.
