Sims 4 Occult Challenges You NEED to Try Out

Sims 4 Occult Challenges You NEED to Try Out
I love a good Sims 4 Challenge!
Sometimes gameplay can feel a little stagnant and it gets boring.
But that’s probably because I gravitate to the same storylines time and time again without realising it.
That led me to try out a bunch of different challenges, and now I have an obscene amount of save files because I love them all!
My favourites to play tend to be anything with a little drama or Occult themed, I’m a HUGE fan of anything Occult.
So, I thought why not share my favourite Sims 4 Occult Challenges.

Sims 4 Occult Challenges You Need To Try!
As I mentioned above, I’m a huge fan of anything “Occult”, even outside of Sims.
Werewolf’s, Vampires, Witches, Fairies, Mermaids, Zombies, the whole lot!
That’s why I enjoy playing with the Occult packs in the Sims 4, because it’s nice escapism.
However, there are so many features that I’m still learning about, and that’s thanks to the likes of Sims 4 Challenges.
These challenges are great for exploring the different packs in ways you may not think of at first.
Let’s dive in, shall we?
The Sims 4 Occult Legacy Challenge

The Occult Legacy Challenge by Asphodel Moon is a great Sims 4 Occult Challenge you can try if you really want to add something different to your game.
It takes you on a journey through nine different generations, with each one centred around a different occult.
There’s werewolves, vampires, spellcasters, mermaids, and even fairies!
What makes this challenge so exciting is that it’s less about strict rules and more about storytelling.
It lets you explore the magical side of The Sims 4 that often gets forgotten.
Along the way, you’ll use packs like Strangerville, Jungle Adventure, Paranormal, Eco Lifestyle, and more. Each generation will also have fresh goals, careers, and skills to master.
If you love the idea of a spooky, mystical family saga in your gameplay, this challenge is a brilliant place to start.
I’m currently on Gen 2 which is Alien and it’s been great getting to use the Strangerville pack more as I hardly play it.
So far it’s been fun, especially as I was playing as a male sim for my first generation which isn’t something I do much.
Now my teenage Alien is about to become a young adult so I’m looking forward to moving into a home in Oasis Springs.

Sims 4 Mystical Motherhood: The Occult Baby Challenge

The Mystical Motherhood Occult Baby Challenge is one of the most playful Sims 4 Occult Challenges you can dive into and I LOVE it.
It’s a fascinating experiment where your normal human Sim explores the magic and weirdness of the occult.
The objective is to have a baby with every occult type in the game and oh boy is it fun
We’re talking vampires, mermaids, werewolves, spellcasters, grim reapers, and more.
What I like about this challenge is you can use a mix of cheats, mods, and even custom content so the kids feel authentically supernatural if you’d like.
You’ll need packs like Vampires, Island Living, Realm of Magic, Seasons, and University to unlock all the occult types needed for said challenge though.
However, you can say goodbye to rigid rules with this one, the fun is in the challenge’s unfolding unpredictability
Although there aren’t strict rules, there are some to follow such as when you’re able to move children out and certain skills to master.
Overall, it’s a really fun challenge and the one I’m probably the deepest into.
I’ve already had the following babies:
- Vampire (the 1st baby and now moved out)
- Werewolf
- Reaper x2
- Father Winter x2
It’s a tight squeeze in the house at the moment!

Greek Myth Challenge – Sims 4 Occult Challenges

The Greek Myth Challenge v2.0 is a great pick if you are looking for full flexibility and one that can be played with base game only.
This challenge invites you to weave your own mythological path mixing heritage, drama, and magical nuance, generation by generation.
Based on the Greek Gods, You can pick any classical god or goddess to start with, and carry the legacy forward through as many myth inspired offspring as you like.
Each generation comes with its own aspiration and a gentle story prompt, but there’s no pressure.
The rules feel more like suggestions, not strict, which I really like.
If you want to use cheats, mods, or mix up the order, say, combining Apollo and Artemis as twins? You can go for it!
There are bonus gods to unlock, optional challenges if you have specific packs, and ways to tailor the journey to whatever kind of tale you’re itching to tell.
I decided to start mine with Zeus and Hera and do their challenges alongside each other.
I’m still in their generation and Hera is currently pregnant with what I hope is a boy so he will be Apollo.
As a huge lover of Greek mythology, this challenge really spoke to me! I would love to see Demeter and Persephone in the mix too, that would be so fun.

Every Occult Challenge

The Every Occult Challenge was created by one of my favourite Sims 4 YouTubers, James Turner.
It’s a challenge designed to push your gameplay to its supernatural limits.
You start with one normal human Sim and the goal is to build a household of nine: one human and eight unique occult Sims.
To unlock every occult type, you’ll need to complete some specific tasks like befriending Vlad to unlock Vampires or reaching level 10 in Gardening to become a PlantSim.
Your regular Sim should also temporarily transform into two special lifestates which are Skeleton and PlantSim, and I LOVE that part of this challenge.
Additionally, you must also host two NPCs on your lot simultaneously to check off visits.
Although it has some rules to follow, the challenge is designed to be flexible. It allows you to complete tasks in any order and use your occult Sims to assist with different objectives.
It’s a creative and immersive way to explore every occult feature the game offers without complicated or strong rules.
I have personally already completed this challenge, as soon as James released it I JUMPED on it.
Honestly, it’s a super fun challenge to learn new aspects of the game and experience all the packs have to offer.

Ultimate Occult Challenge – Sims 4 Occult Challenges

The Ultimate Occult Challenge is such a fun way to dive into the supernatural side of The Sims 4 and it easily earns its place as one of the most exciting Sims 4 Occult Challenges.
Instead of juggling a big legacy save, this one focuses on a single Sim who gets to explore life as a vampire, spellcaster, and werewolf.
The best part though is there are three different play throughs you can do.
In the challenge you can pick your own “flavour”, Sweet, Spicy or Sour. It really depends on the game play you’re more drawn to.
This really is a great challenge that allows you to experiment with three occults in one run without requiring a whole legacy.
I am currently doing the Spicy play through as it’s so different to my normal gameplay type and I’m now a spellcaster.
Honestly, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself with this one so far.

The Sims 4 Occult Sanctuary Challenge

The Occult Sanctuary Challenge is a gem among Sims 4 Occult Challenges! It’s part legacy, part rags to riches, and all about crafting a safe place for occult types.
Picture this: all the occult type sims such as spellcasters, vampires, werewolves, are outcasts. These magical sims are hunted by human society and driven from the realms they once called home.
So, you become the architect of their refuge.
The goal is to build a sanctuary worth at least 300,000 Simoleons that’s bustling with at least eight spellcasters, eight vampires, and eight werewolves.
There are also bonus missions such as getting a spellcaster to achieve the Spellcraft & Sorcery aspiration, or a vampire to reach the goal of a Vampire Family.
It’s a challenge that asks you to build, nurture, and weave stories for the misunderstood mystical types and I LOVE it.
To have everyone on the same lot I am using the For Rent expansion pack and cheats to make it work, and so far so good.
However, you can’t have more than 8 in your playable household without mods so I can only play 8 at a time.
So far I am obsessed with this challenge as I tried to do something similar years ago. However it wasn’t structured so I lost interest after about 8 months unfortunately.
Ps. You can read about the family I tried to do this sort of storyline with here –

I’ve been looking for new challenges to try this Halloween and I’ve found the perfect bunch, cheers!
I can’t wait to try the mystical motherhood one!!!! These sound so cool
These are great ideas for occult challenges! I often do not play with occults even though I do have most of the packs (I just purchased Vampires the other day). I should try out the Every Occult Challenge because it does seem like a good way to explore the different occults.
This is a nice list. I’ve been meaning to explore occults. I have all the packs with occults and my Sims will befriend them, but I’m so caught up in other gameplay and writing SimLit, I never took the time to play them in Sims 4. Tis the season so I think choosing something off this list would be perfect. Thanks!
“As a huge lover of Greek mythology” and then “Hera is currently pregnant with what I hope is a boy so he will be Apollo” 😭 I’m a Greek mythology fanatic, this hurt.
Seriously though, these challenges look fun! I might give the Greek mythology one a try, but cheats will be required to make it accurate.
I like chaos, what can I say 😈 No really though, trying to figure the best timeline out took a whole night 😂 but I’m happy to report that Apollo was born, along with a twin sister aptly named Leto…. 😂 I hope you enjoy the challenge, its fun!
