Taking a Look at my April Goals

Taking a Look at my April Goals
April is well and truly here, and that means a whole new list of goals for the month!
With spring here, the good weather following suit and all the plants blooming, I finally feel like the winter fog has lifted.
Spring always fills me with joy of new beginnings, much like new years does, and I’m so ready for life to liven up a bit.
So, with the new month comes the new goals, so let’s dive in shall we?

Taking a Look at my April Goals
This month my theme is “Hard work”.
I’ve got a bunch of goals that reflect me putting in hard work to be consistent and see results.
After March being about abundance, gratitude and determination, it’s time to use some of the skills I worked on and follow through with projects already started.
That’s why “hard work” is this month’s theme, I have to work hard to finish off what I started and see me through.
Work on my social media
During March my goal was to be more consistent with Instagram. Although I’m not 100% there yet, I’ve done a lot better at posting consistently.
So, this month I want to work on a few other social media accounts like my business Instagram, my Pinterest and twitter.
My goal is to post daily on Pinterest and a few times a week on the others.
I don’t want to overwhelm myself with a strict posting schedule as that’s what I’m working up to, so for now i’m keeping it casual with a goal of being more present.
10k steps each day
Last Month I spoke about my 77 day challenge where I’m working on my mental and physical health.
I’m happy to report that I’ve been sticking to it and in the process my mind is in a much better place, my physical health has improved and my body shape is changing.
For the first time in a long time I’m feeling balanced and all over good.
So, because it’s been working I’m really upping the hard work and making 10k steps a day, a main goal.
Build up my Etsy store
Last month I made a goal of making some Etsy sales and although I got one, I was feeling a little down about it.
But after I got out of my feelings and looked at it with a more level head, I realised how grateful and honoured I was to even get 1 sale.
With my head in a better place about it, I realised the problem is I’m not putting enough time into my small business.
So, this month I’m working on my Etsy store to breathe some new life into it and fix it up.
I’m putting in the hard work and I hope that it pays off.

Get my blog organised for the whole month
After working on my blog during March I’m now reaping the benefits as my blog is doing better now than it has over the past 6 months!
My blog got 25k views in March and all stats are up.
It feels amazing seeing all the hard work paying off so this month my plan is to create all content for the month.
As well as creating content I’ll be replying and returning comments, working on Pinterest Pins for blog posts and updating more posts.
I also want to get organised as early as possible this month so I can get set up for some time off in May.
Organise my office
The past month I’ve been so focused on work and such that my office is in disarray.
There’s things EVERYWHERE, and it’s driving me up the wall.
I need to sort it and get everything back into functioning order.
When my work space is messy, my mind is as well and it distracts me far too much.
Plus I’ve got a new printer that I need to find a proper space for. It’s so much better than my last and I’m IN LOVE with it.
Work on my eating habits
Trigger Warning – Eating disorder
As I’ve touched on previously, I’m doing a 77 day challenge.
My end goal is to create lasting healthy habits for both my mind and body.
I’ve been working on the mental and physical side so far but now it’s time to address my relationship with food.
When I was a teenager I was diagnosed with an eating disorder.
After a lot of hard work I overcame it but knew that if I let myself slip, I would end up back in the same place.
When the pandemic hit my eating habits did just that, they slipped.
I was binge eating again but then I was restricting food over my guilt of eating “too much”.
There was no happy medium and some days I ate and ate the whole day and then I’d go days without anything but water.
It’s toxic and doesn’t benefit me at all.
So, this month I’m confronting my demons and working on fixing my eating habits because this back and fourth is not healthy nor good for my body.
April To-Do List

March Look back
Well, all in all March was a great month.
It started off with World Book day and little bear dressing up as Horrid Henry which he LOVED! And was one of his suggestions for my World Book Day Costume Ideas post.
We also went to the caravan for a few nights here and there throughout the month which was nice to decompress.
It was also mine and my other half’s 11 year anniversary in March so we took a nice trip to Ben Lomond.
Spending time together and new projects
As well as lots of getaways and days out, there were plenty of days where we chilled in the house because of the weather.
On those days we did things like crafts, gaming, baking and learning blender.
Little bear is determined to make animations and wants to learn all about Blender, so we’ve been taking time to watch tutorials and try some basic projects.
Spending quality time together just fills my heart because I know there’s going to come a day where he’s older and just wants to be with his friends.

Break in’s and a new cat
March also saw our local community targeted by career criminals trying to break into peoples houses.
The amount of people we have talked to in our immediate area that had caught people trying to enter their home in the early mornings on their CCTV was unreal.
After speaking with a few neighbours I decided to check our security camera and low and behold, there was a man trying to gain access to our front door.
I spoke with police and thankfully he has been apprehended so he isn’t a risk anymore. But, just a few days later more reports started to come out of peoples houses being broken into so there are obviously others out there doing it.
March also saw the appearance of another little guy trying to gain access to our house.
This one however is a lot cuter and gets away with his naughty attitude. A black and white cat who seems very fond of our house has been coming around a lot and one day even managed to get into the house!
My son is smitten with him and I must admit, I do find myself cooing over him as well.
Money and savings
I also paid off my credit card which was a huge weight off. I had ยฃ1678.79 to pay off for flights and seeing the balance go to ยฃ0 was very satisfying.
One of my goals for March was to save money for something that’s happening next month, and I was able to save a little.
My main focus was to pay off the credit card and then start saving, so I am on track for that.

Vision board
On Mother’s Day little bear got an amazing bunch of presents, one of them being a huge white board.
The back of it is cork, so I decided to use the back side to create a vision board.
I’ve been wanting to create a proper one for so long and this was the perfect chance to.
My board reflects goals I’m working towards for my life such as:
โข Traveling more
โข Making more money
โข More work opportunities
โข Better fitness and health
โข New daily habits
โข Effective self-care
โข Balance
โข Better mental health
โข Finding my style
โข Wearing clothes I like
โข And more

These are some inspirational list of goals. Never thought to set goals for my blog. I am glad your hard work is paying with your blog stats. I am really inspired to start setting a few goals for my blog site; really need to start updating my older posts.
These are some good goals! ๐ I try to get 8k steps every day at the moment!
I truly enjoyed reading your goals for April! It’s great that you’re prioritizing being present rather than being too strict with forming new habits. That’s such an inspiring and motivating way to approach your goals. Physical activity, such as getting 10K steps in per day, is truly game changing. I can’t wait to go on more walks during the summertime! I’m glad to hear your home is safe and the only visitor is the cute black and white cat. Thank you for sharing!
You have great goals, which makes me wonder where you get the time to do all of them. Are you a full-time content creator, or do you have a full time job as well?
Thanks for sharing your review your April goals, glad that you completed most of your goals for April and hopefully you can enjoy the month ๐
