Taking a Look at my June goals

A new month is here and that means a new set of goals to go over.

Last month I ended up giving my goals post a miss, but it was for good reason.

You see, I’M PREGNANT! This is such a whirlwind right now but I’m absolutely over the moon.

This however saw my first trimester symptoms take over my life for a few weeks.

I ended up being sick constantly, feeling dizzy, no energy and always wanting to sleep. So giving my goals post a miss was needed.

But I’m back this month with a jam packed list of goals and I’m ready to hit the ground running.

Let’s dive in shall we?

My June Goals

This month my theme is “Happiness”.

With the high I’m on due to being pregnant and everything working itself out, I just want to enjoy life and be happy.

I’ll be doing things that spark joy this month and leaving negativity behind.

Rearrange my office

My office has been getting me a little down recently.

Although it’s all decorated and such, I just don’t feel like it sparks much joy in me anymore.

So, I’m going to try moving some things around and make it more efficient.

Right now things are in random places and it’s not really the best layout for keeping things running smoothly.

I’ve also got my eye on some home office pieces from Amazon that I’d really like to get to make the place look a lot better.

Work on getting more Etsy sales

With me taking a step back in May to one, deal with pregnancy symptoms and two go travelling in Canada, my Etsy has suffered.

I’ve not done much with it and it saw my stats plummet when it was finally starting to gain traction.

So, I’ll be focusing a lot more on my Etsy this month and getting new items listed. I’ll also be working on marketing and getting more eyes on products.

Post 2 Reels a week on Instagram

My Instagram has also been suffering lately, so I’m working on that this month.

It’s my favourite social media platform and I want to get that joy back again, so I’m going to be creating content I enjoy again.

Part of working on my Instagram will also be taking the time to post reels.

I love creating video content so that’s something I want to incorporate into my social media.

Get rid of LBs clothes that are too small

Little bear has just gone through another growth spurt which has meant we’ve had to buy him a whole new wardrobe.

Because all his clothes have been replaced, he has a ton that doesn’t fit him anymore.

My goal is to clean out his wardrobe and drawers of all the smaller stuff and hand it into a charity or baby bank.

There are loads of items with tags still on them so I want people who need them to get the use of them.

Change up my hair

My hair has been annoying me for the longest time.

I feel like it doesn’t have any life in it and always feels so bleh and lifeless.

So, I want to get it changed this month. I was supposed to do it before going on holiday but finding out I was pregnant threw everything up in the air.

I’ve got the appointment booked but I’m still undecided on what to do with it.

Make plans for Summer Holidays

This month little bears school finishes up for the summer holidays, so I’d like to get some plans in the works.

I know we will be doing some camping, beach days and hopefully staycations but I’d like to get some days out in the calendar.

There are a few places I’ve written in my phone notes I’d like to take the little guy, so hopefully we can get those planned out.

June To-Do List

  • Work on my Instagram
  • Plan out June & July’s blog content
  • Update 10 blog posts

  • Take LB to cinema to see new Spiderman

May Look Back

May started off a little rocky as my pregnancy symptoms were KILLER!

The morning sickness which lasted all day was horrid and having to spend time in bed due to vomiting and dizziness really threw a spanner in the works.

Thankfully things started to look up though the week before we headed to Canada which was much needed.

The symptoms really hit hard this pregnancy but I’m trying to remind myself that it’s all worth it.

First scan

I also had my first scan on the 9th May and oh my gosh was it emotional!

First off, I bumped into my best friend on my way to the maternity unit… MY BEST FRIEND!

Like, how utterly bizarre is it that of all the people in the world, the one person I bump into and find out is pregnant as well, is my best friend?

I wholeheartedly believe that the universe wanted us to know we were going though it together and brought us together at the best time.

Knowing we had our scans at the same time on the same day just blows my mind.

We always said we would have babies at the same time when we were younger and here we are, best friends of 17 years having babies at the same time!

Baby had to be difficult

Secondly, the scan experience was a bit emotional.

They couldn’t find the baby at first but after an internal scan they were there which helped ease a lot of worry.

I also got to see the heartbeat which was very strong the woman said which then made me cry again.

After so many losses and worries over the years, seeing the heartbeat in that moment brought a wave of calm.

We weren’t able to get a proper measurement though as the baby was being rather difficult.

The little peanut was upside down and back to front which wasn’t great so still no due date estimated but hopefully at the next scan we will have more information.

Canada

May also saw us take a trip to Canada to see family.

It was great getting away for two weeks to chill out, make memories and spend time with loved ones.

Little bear got to see his grandpa and spend precious time with him which I’m very grateful for.

Going to Canada was always a highlight for me when I was younger so having LB get this experience was amazing and hearing how much he loved it warms my heart.

Making memories

While in Canada we got to go to many amazing places and see some wonderful sights.

We got the chance to go to Green Lake to a friend’s cabin where we had lots of good food, went out on the quads, took walks and more.

It was such a lovely trip and from there we went to Penticton which was fabulous! When there we got to lay on the beach, play in the water, go sightseeing, attend a market and more.

On our road trip we also stopped at some lovely places where we saw seals, boats, jumping fish, deer, cool cars and enjoyed ourselves along the way.
