Butterball bath bomb from Lush; Review

Today's review is on Butterball from Lush.

This little bath bomb is one that I instantly fell in love with when I seen it. From its size to its smell everything about this one just makes me feel like I am in heaven. Its a very musky smell which just takes me back to my childhood when my mother had the bathroom filled with white musk or musk scented candles. Safe to say as soon as I smelled this bath bomb I was sold.

As soon as I put this bath bomb into the water it started to fizz away and show off what was inside of it. I am very pleased at what I saw emerging from this little ball of white scented heaven which was cocoa butter! I absolutely love that stuff so to see that made me so happy which I guess this bath bomb aims to do since its scents are used in aroma therapy to help relieve stress and depression. To say I was relaxed by this bath bomb would be an understatement.

While watching this bath bomb fizz away my nose was attacked by the most amazing smell, It was reminding me of my mother so much, which put me into a spiral of happy memories. This is the scent I would smell as my mother waltzed out of the bath room in the morning after getting washed and dressed. It was really nice to think of some good memories while relaxing in the bath. So far this bath bomb is really making me happy and I am ready to run out and buy like 10 more!

The bath bomb lasted around 2 minutes at most which in all fairness isn't great as I love long bath bombs to relax in that bath with but don't be put off by the time that it lasts because it will make up for it in more ways than one! This bath bomb releases cocoa butter pieces which melt in the bath giving your skin complete smoothness, I assume this will help if you have particularly dry skin, it's a complete rescue for skin in my opinion. I left my bath feeling relaxed and pampered with this tiny little ball. For the first time in a while I had memories of my mums life rather than her death and for that I will always be buying this because I haven't had this in a good while. Everything about this bath bomb has made me a believer in scents can help with stress, bath bombs can help with softer skin and memories of my mum won't make me cry. Next time you are in Lush I suggest you pick this up and give it a go yourself.

So what Lush say about it?; "If you have dry, sensitive or irritated skin, this is the bath bomb to replenish it. Once the cocoa butter pieces have melted, your skin will be coated by a light buttery film that smells good enough to eat. Ylang ylang is used in aromatherapy to treat stress and depression, as well as relaxing the nervous system, and relieves anger, panic and fear."
