Remembering Birthdays can feel like a chore, especially if you have a large friend group or family.

Although birthdays are super fun to celebrate, they can be daunting trying to keep on top of them all.

So, I thought I would share some tips with you on how to stay on top of birthdays all year round and never get caught out again!

It’s been years since I forgot a birthday and I owe it all to my system which helps me stay prepared for anything, even those “new” birthdays that start to pop up.

Mark off Birthdays on your calendar in bulk

Every year on January 1st I’ll open up my brand new calendar that I get for Christmas and start to fill in birthdays.

I’ll check through the previous calendar to make sure I’m getting the dates right and once I’ve done that, I’ll make sure that everyone’s birthday is there.

If I don’t see a name written down I’ll check back through text messages (I don’t delete them ever so my inbox really is a mess haha) because I always send birthday texts so that will give me a date.

This is such a great way to keep on top of birthdays and make sure you don’t forget them.

Stock up on Birthday cards

Picking out birthday cards feels quite special. It’s the first thing most people open so making sure the card is just right is a top priority.

Although they are a top priority and mean a lot to people, it’s still possible to stock up on cards!

The range on the likes of Etsy is amazing! They have lots for different types of people.

Looking for funny cards that are sure to elicit a laugh? They have that covered.

Want ones with heartfelt messages that show people how much you care? They have them too.

Looking for those cards that could be given to anyone, no matter who the recipient is? They have them as well!

Create a present box

Much like stocking up on cards, stocking up on presents is a huge help.

Creating a present box with little bits and pieces has come in handy more times than I can count.

My best advice is to shop the sales and put items away so that when a birthday comes up, you’ll be prepared.

My favourite kind of items to stock up on are:

When stocking up on presents, make sure that whatever you are choosing doesn’t have use by dates on them, and if they do, make sure they are at least 2 years away.

This means you can always find a use for them at some point.

Keep gift bags and tissue paper

Having gift bags at the ready is one of my favourite tips! It’s so handy because it means you don’t have to run out and buy any or have to worry about wrapping paper.

Plus it stops you throwing any perfectly good gift bags away.

Let’s face it, who’s going to know?

As well as gift bags, keeping tissue paper that can be reused is helpful.

I like to put presents in the gift bag and then cover it with tissue paper. This saves on wrapping paper and adds a nice touch.

Don’t be afraid to re-gift

There are lots of differing opinions on regifting but I personally think it’s a great idea.

Sometimes we get those gift sets of bottles of bubbly that we know we won’t ever use.

So instead of them going to waste, giving them to someone you know will use it saves pennies and works out well.

I’ll often put these gifts into the present box and if someone’s birthday comes up that I know would use it, it’s easy to just pop in a bag.

And there you have it! 5 Top Tips to Stay Organised With Birthdays All Year Round.

I honestly swear by these and find they make life a lot easier when it comes to staying organised and prepared.
