Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and it does not have to just be a day for couples: celebrating friendship is just as important.

Show your friends how much they mean to you with five cute Galantine’s Date Night Ideas for during lockdown. Make this Valentine’s Day one to remember with cute date ideas you can do virtually!

Galantine’s Quiz Night

Who doesn’t love a quiz night? Spend some time working on a Valentine’s Day quiz competition for your friends.

Zoom is amazing to create a quiz as you can share your questions to everyone at the same time. Grab yourself some treats and enjoy a quiz night with your friends.

My friendship group are extremely competitive, and we have been doing quiz nights every Saturday through lockdown. It is so much fun, we end up crying laughing every single time.

An extra idea for the quiz is to add a ‘who knows me best round’ and add some questions about your best friend or your friendship group.

It makes the quiz super entertaining. You could have each of your friends taking part to create a little quiz each to get lots of content for your quiz night.

Confidential Cupid

It has been a pretty rubbish few months not being able to see our friends or relatives as much.

However, this should not stop us showing our loved ones how much we love and appreciate their friendship. Why not send your best friends a little Valentines gift?

Everyone loves receiving gifts and small businesses would massively appreciate your support right now. Take a little look online and treat your bestie to something special. You can find some amazing gifting ideas.

Another idea me and my friends are doing is ‘Confidential Cupid’. As much as I would love to take credit for this amazing idea, I did find it over on Pinterest. Essentially it is the Valentine’s Day equivalent of Secret Santa.

Everyone is given someone to purchase a little gift for and then you organise a zoom call to open all your gifts together. You could do cute little gifts or funny gifts for each other but either way it will feel like Christmas watching everyone open their presents with smiles on their faces!

Virtual Movie Night

This one may sound strange; how can you have a virtual movie night? Myself and my best friend have the exact same taste in movies and whether we are away or apart we love taking time to watch them together.

Plan a movie date featuring a movie only you and your besties will appreciate. Get some movie snacks and drinks and have your friends on the phone or on a video call and press play together.

If you wanted to be even more creative, you could all dress up as characters from the film! I don’t know about you but seeing my friends dress up as Shrek and Donkey would easily be my most memorable Valentine’s Day!

Virtual Cookie or Cocktail Creation

Depending on what yours and your friend’s hobbies are, you could get some ingredients in and become a little barista for the night creating different cocktails.

It may not be the night out with the girls we all wanted, but it is still a super fun activity to lift the mood, get a little tipsy and have a catch up.

You might even create the world’s best cocktail while experimenting!

If drinking is not for you, why not try cooking? Decorate cakes or cookies with your besties and share your designs with each other.

Host a little master chef competition who can create the best cake, winner gets a Valentine’s Day prize. You will also have lots of amazing deserts to eat afterwards which is always a massive bonus.

Galantine’s Day Date Karaoke Night

Finally, why not host a little talent show/karaoke night. This might not be for everyone, but this year is about creating memories to remember for years to come and I love having a little sing with my friends.

Get your favourite musical on and show off your musical talents.
