Normally for Valentine’s Day, couples all over the world will have plans to celebrate the international Day of love. Y
ou may be going out for dinner, maybe a cinema date, or doing something grand.
But, what ever the plans normally are, this year they are going to look a little bit different, that doesn’t mean it can’t be grand in its own way though.
Why not plan a Valentine’s date night to remember! In your home of course.
Today I’m going to be sharing 3 ways you can create a magical evening at home to share the love with your significant other.
3 Valentine’s date night ideas
Picnic Dinner
You could set up an at home picnic to share with your other half this Valentine’s day.
Find a space in your home that you feel fits, get a blanket, some pillows and why not throw in some red balloons for good measure. Set up your area, maybe add some other themed decorations into the mix.
Next, plan out what food you’ll have, make up a little picnic box/basket and why not throw in some of the *IL Gusto Sparkling Gold Cuvee to liven then evening up.
The Sparkling Gold Cuvee Original is a fine dry wine enhanced by a dash of liqueur with edible 22 carat gold flakes. Oh, and it’s delicious.

Candle Lit Dinner
Maybe this year you could set up a candle lit dinner for two. Make your favourite meals, recreate what you had on your first date or any memorable date for that matter.
You can get some lovely recipes on Pinterest; I found a bunch of useful recipes here – Pinterest Valentine’s Day Meal Ideas.
Whatever you plan on making, have fun with it.
Next, it’s time to think about how your table will be set.
You could put down a table cloth and use candles, maybe some rose petals.
Or you could really go all out with some table confetti, candles, a stunning centre piece and top it all off with some Sparkling Gold Cuvee from IL Gusto.
Once you’re done with the decorating, it’s time to think about lighting!
Add some atmosphere to your night with toned down lighting, maybe just using candles could be an idea.
And then you have yourself a lovely, romantic area to dine at.
A Fancy movie night
Feel like lazing in front of the TV is more your style? (Same!) Then why not turn your Valentine’s movie night into one you’ll remember.
Feel like lazing in front of the TV is more your style? (Same!) Then why not consider turning your Valentine’s movie night into one you’ll remember.
For Valentine’s Day this year, I’m putting together a romantic night in, watching movies for S and myself. But, I’m doing it in our own style, with horrors.
So, I thought it would be fun to take you through my plans for the movie night to help you get some ideas for your own.

The Plans
I’m planning on turning the bedroom into a cosy, romantic area once our son goes to sleep. I’ve got cute Valentine’s day decorations that I got last year like a heart garland, cute pom pom led lights, rose petals and more.
The plan is to do the room up, making it feel more special.
I also have a whole load of candles that I’ll be putting out which will be the only light source (along with the TV).
The relaxing ambiance is my main goal because I want us to have a chill night, just us two, watching our favourite movie genre.
Fun fact!
When S proposed to me, he drove me to a back country lane (it’s not sinister, I promise!) It was almost midnight and the place was pitch black. He pulled into a little lay by and handed me a jacket.
We got out of the car and leaned up against a fence looking at the sky with the stars. It was so peaceful and I remember hearing cars way off in the distance and feeling like I was in a film.
We were on a long road, most of it covered by trees and it reminded me of a horror movie. Well, S proposed to me there because of our love of horror movies and I just couldn’t have imagined anything better. You can read the full story here – My Engagement Story
Anyway, for our movie night I’m going to be serving the *IL Gusto Sparkling Gold Cuvee along with Little nibbles such as crisps, pretzels, popcorn and some M&Ms. I’ll be serving it all up on a tray and getting snuggled up in my favourite Pyjamas with S.

Loved all of the ideas, I’ll choose one to celebrate Valentine’s day with my husband. Although I would love to mix them all together.
These are some really lovely ideas to celebrate the V-day. We have no plans but will order food and have some time together. 🙂 Loved to read how your S proposed you. 🙂
