I’ve had the pleasure of getting some time to immerse myself into shows and films this October. I have been watching a range of genres from comedy horror to full on blood and gore, it’s the perfect time of year.
Let’s just jump in, shall we?
Hallotober: My October Watch List
This month I’ve been binging binging binging!
If you didnt know, im a bit of a TV/Film fanatic and my happy place is infront of the TV admiring cinematography, plot lines, screen plays, acting etc.
So I’ve consumed a lot this month, not all of it horror or Halloween related so I’ve left those ones out.
I’m only touching on the Series and Movies that are horror/Halloween related to stick with my Hallotober theme.
Prank Encounters
If you enjoy hidden camera chaos mixed with horror, Prank Encounters deserves a spot on your Hallotober watch list.
The mix of comedy and scare keeps the show entertaining without feeling too heavy.
Some moments feel genuinely creepy, while others lean into pure fun. It’s a great pick for viewers who enjoy lighter Halloween entertainment.
It’s one I would watch with my sons.

Age Rating: Recommended 14+, but I would personally say around 10/11 Years up.

Bedeviled
Bedeviled centres around five friends who download a mysterious app that unleashes a supernatural force into their lives.
The idea feels modern and relatable, especially for fans of tech based horror! But unfortunately others have done it better.
The scares feel predictable, and the characters lack any kind of depth.
You may enjoy it as a casual chill watch if you’re in the mood for background noise.

Head Count
Head Count is a slow burning psychological horror with a supernatural twist.
In this one there are a group of college students who accidentally summon a dangerous entity during a weekend getaway, and things become increasingly unsettling from there.
The movie creates tension well and keeps viewers guessing Throughout.
It doesn’t rely heavily on gore, which makes the atmosphere stand out even more in my opinion and lends to the over creepy vibe.
If you enjoy unsettling movies with mystery elements, this one works well.

Hell Fest
Hell Fest combines slasher horror with a creepy amusement park setting, which instantly makes it perfect for October.
A masked killer stalks a group of friends through a horror themed attraction while guests mistake the murders for part of the entertainment.
The setting feels immersive and packed full with Halloween energy.
Horror fans who love haunted houses, theme parks, and classic slasher movies will probably have a great time watching this one.

Ash vs Evil Dead Season 2
If you love horror mixed with ridiculous humour, Ash vs Evil Dead remains one of the most entertaining shows there is!
Season 2 brings over the top gore, hilarious moments, and nonstop supernatural chaos.
Ash continues battling Deadites while avoiding responsibility at every turn, how Ash of him haha.
The series never takes itself too seriously, which makes it incredibly fun to binge during spooky season.
Fans of cult horror classics should absolutely add this to their Hallotober streaming list.

Hocus Pocus
No Hallotober watch list feels complete without Hocus Pocus!
This Halloween classic follows a teenager who accidentally awakens three witches in Salem after moving to town.
The film blends spooky moments with comedy, nostalgia, and iconic performances.
It captures cosy autumn vibes perfectly and remains one of the best family friendly Halloween films ever made.
Whether you watch it every year or experience it for the first time, Hocus Pocus always delivers Halloween magic.

Toy Story of Terror
Toy Story of Terror proves family friendly movies can still feel exciting.
Woody and the gang find themselves trapped in a roadside motel where toys mysteriously disappear.
Honestly, it’s one of my favourite shorts from the Toy Story verse.
The whole story keeps younger viewers entertained while adding just enough spooky suspense for Halloween fun.
It’s short, easy to watch, and perfect for a cosy family movie night.

In the Tall Grass
In the Tall Grass follows siblings who enter a huge field after hearing a young boy cry for help.
Once inside, escaping becomes almost impossible.
The concept feels eerie and claustrophobic, but the pacing drags a lot in places.
Some viewers may enjoy the unsettling atmosphere, though others might find it frustrating, like I did.
It still works as a unique horror option for psychological horror fans however.

Eli
Eli was one that surprised me far more than I expected!
The story follows a boy who is receiving treatment for an autoimmune disorder in an isolated medical facility that quickly reveals very dark secrets.
The movie balances creepy visuals with emotional moments and strong twists.
It builds suspense effectively where it’s needed and keeps viewers curious throughout.
If you enjoy supernatural thrillers during Hallotober, this one deserves attention.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remains one of the most influential horror movie ever made.
This movie follows a group of friends who encounter a terrifying family of cannibals while travelling through Texas.
The gritty atmosphere and disturbing tension still hold up decades later. Leatherface became an iconic horror villain for good reason.
Even now, this film feels intense, unsettling, and genuinely frightening.
Classic horror fans should absolutely include this on their Hallotober movie marathon list.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
This series delivers dark magic, gothic aesthetics, and plenty of supernatural drama that’s binge worthy.
Sabrina struggles between her human life and witch heritage while facing dangerous enemies and sinister cults.
The series creates the perfect spooky autumn atmosphere with stylish visuals and strong characters. It mixes horror, fantasy, and teen drama surprisingly well, making it ideal for Hallotober binge watching.
If you love witches, occult themes, and darker reimaginings of classic characters, this series deserves a top spot on your Hallotober watch list.
