Taking a Look at My September To-Do List | 2022 Edition

My birthday month is finally here! I didn’t think I’d be quite as excited considering I’m turning 30, but I am.

Although, I’m not solely excited for my birthday, it’s more what September represents to me.

This is the month Autumn officially begins and that means Halloween is just around the corner as is October, my favourite month of the year!

I’m super excited for all things Autumn to begin and celebrate my grans 70th birthday this month. It’s a big one for both of us which is why we are going away for a week.

It will be lovely spending some time together and getting away from everyday life for a bit. We haven’t been away on a holiday or break for years.

I’m also super excited because we are doing a countdown to 70 for my gran. It began on the 1st and each day she randomly picks a number between 1 and 15 out a pouch. Once she has her number, she finds the correlating present with the same number to open. It’s sort of like an advent calendar.

This year we have gotten 70 presents for her and it’s amazing seeing how grateful and happy she is.

We are also going to take a cake away with us and celebrate her birthday whilst away as a little surprise.

Anyway, before I keep rambling on, let’s take a look at my September To-Do List.

Get ready for our week away

As we are going away for a week, we have some preparation to do.

We’ve got to

• Get shopping
• Pack
• Make a travel pack for Poppy
• Bath Poppy & clip her nails
• Charge camera batteries
• Sort SD cards
• Schedule promotional tweets for the week
• Set up and schedule blog posts
• Tidy house
• Make activity pack for little bear

As you can see, there’s quite a bit to do. So, this is the top of my priority list right now.

Ps. By the time this goes live I’ll be away, so fingers crossed I didn’t go into a blind panic.

Organise my Autumn/Halloween content

With Autumn and Halloween just around the corner, I have to get a move on with sorting my themed content.

I’ve got plenty of blog posts ready, but not any photos so I’ll be talking some time to have a day where I batch take photos.

There are so many ideas running through my head and I’m so so excited!

Buy some candles

As Autumn is fast approaching, I need to replenish my candle stock.

Every year, when Autumn hits, that’s when I have all the candles dotted around my room. I love the atmosphere they create and the scents are heavenly.

So, I need to stock up as I only have two half candles at the moment.

Plus, with the energy prices rising, I’ll be living with candles instead of putting lights on haha.

Create 4 sets of nails

With September being quite a busy month, my plan is to create at-least 4 sets of nails to see me through.

My little box is empty at the moment and as having my nails done makes me feel good, I don’t want to panic when it’s time for my current set to come off.

I got a bunch of new colours through that I treated myself to, so I plan on trying them out. There’s one in particular that I really want to use for my birthday week.

Organise a dinner to celebrate my 30th with friends

As it will be my 30th on the 18th of September, I’d quite like to go for dinner with some friends.

I feel like it’s been a lifetime since I saw them all at once. Actually, I don’t even remember having them altogether in the same place.

So, I would like to arrange a dinner to celebrate with them and have some much needed adult time.

Change home decor around to Autumn theme

Every year when Autumn arrives, I like to get the home decor pieces switched round.

Swapping from the Spring/Summer pieces to the Autumn ones fills me with so much joy!

So, near the end of the month when Autumn has officially arrived, I want to get the house looking and feeling cosy.

A look back at August’s To-Do List

Figure out what I’m getting my gran for her 70th

I’m so happy to say that I managed to get this sorted. About half way through August I decided to do a countdown to 70 starting on 1st September.

Make sure LB has everything for starting back school

It was a mad dash to get it all sorted as we had covid, but we got there in the end.

Very thankful for online shopping!

Keep going days out

Unfortunately life hasn’t been the easiest lately with us being sick in some way or another so we haven’t been out much.

Although, we have had a few long walks and trips to the park so at-least we’ve done some things.

Get some new clothes for going away

Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything that I liked. I searched and searched, but nothing stuck out to me.

But, I did find a suitcase in the spare room filled with clothes I forgot I had. So, I at-least have some different clothes to take away and I did get some new leggings in Tesco.

Work on blog content

Happy to say that I have been working hard on blog content and I’m so proud to have months worth of content ready.

Work on Etsy store

I’m annoyed that I haven’t ticked this off like I wanted to, but I’m moving on from being annoyed and just going to work even harder this month.
