I have a specific routine now that I swear by and some of the Tropic skincare products are firmly in that routine.
What I love most is that they work in harmony with my other products.
Because I am all about looking after my skin, I want quality products that I can rely on and I can honestly say that the Tropic products I have tried are great quality.

First Impressions on Tropic Skincare
When I first opened the package I was wowed straight away.
I can definitely see elements of the tropic within the packaging which really brings everything together in a nice, cohesive and aesthetically pleasing way.
The colour story is great!
It’s very eye-catching making it perfect for standing out on the shelf and grabbing a customer’s attention.
When it comes to packaging I always give it a good look over.
I personally like packaging that is easy to open and won’t rip as soon as I have a go at the box.
With the Tropic Skincare products I was over the moon to see they are easily accessible and the packaging is still intact.
Package Quality
The quality in the packaging feels really good.
Looking at it, it gives me a luxury feel but it’s not a snobby product that turns you away.
It’s a good middle of the shelf product that gives luxury at a great price.
As a consumer I really appreciate the thought that goes into the packaging.
When you can tell there was design and thought around it, I love it even more.
My Full Tropic Skincare Review

Tropic Smoothing Cleanser
When I first started using this cleanser my face was breaking out quite badly. It was sore and red which wasn’t ideal.
I found myself shovelling on the make-up even more.
So, I needed a good cleanser that would actually take the make-up off my face without leaving any residue.
This cleanser was created for all skin types and works by melting away any make-up and impurities whilst also providing a nourishing daily cleanse.
What I love about it is that Tropic has an unscented version for sensitive skin!
Meaning anyone can use the cleanser.

My experience with the cleanser
It smells great and the consistency feels nice.
It’s like a cream, only creamier, if that makes sense?
I use 3 to 4 pumps and that covers my entire face, even when I have a full face of make-up, heavy or light.
Then I massage it into my skin, making sure to get all spots and then I use the bamboo cloth that is also from Tropic.
The cloth works great with the cleanser and makes a great duo.
Having used this cleanser every time I have had to take make-up off, and that is a lot, I still have quite a lot of the product left and that is after two months.
I really like that a little goes a long way, which makes it last as long as possible.
This cleanser is my new go to right now.
Honestly, I love the way it feels on my skin!
It’s a pleasant experience taking make-up off now instead of scrubbing vigorously and my skin has improved which I suspect is because my face is getting a good clean.
How to use
- 1st Step – Massage 2-4 pumps onto dry skin over your eyes, face and neck to dislodge impurities and stimulate circulation.
- 2nd Step – If you’re wearing makeup, rinse off with warm water and reapply another 1-2 pumps.
- 3rd Step – Finally, rinse your Bamboo Face Cloth in warm water, and wipe away cleanser and excess makeup.
Would I recommend this cleanser?
Yes! 100%, it is great.
Ingredients (for scented):
Aloe Vera Juice, Sweet Almond Oil, Golden Jojoba Oil, Coconut and Cassava Derived Emulsifiers, Plant Glycerin, Plant Derived Polyhydroxy Acid, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Soy Lecithin, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Green Tea Extract, Polylysine Peptide, Vitamin E, Essential Oils of Rosemary, Lemongrass and Eucalyptus, Gentle Preservatives from Star Anise and Basil, Sugar Beet Lactic Acid.

Tropic Face Smooth Brightening Polish
Along with using the cleanser from Tropic Skincare, I have also been using their Face Smooth Brightening Polish.
It’s a natural exfoliator that instantly softens, smooths and brightens your complexion.
The product is free from microbeads and has ingredients like Macadamia oil, bamboo silica and AÇAÍ BERRY.
My experience with the brightening polish
This exfoliator smells lovely! it’s quite a nice citrus scent and reminds me of being on holiday.
The texture is what I would expect an exfoliator to feel like. A little rough but it also feels creamy, almost like the face cleanser.
When using this as directed, 2-3 times a week I found it was leaving my skin a little raw, so I changed to once a week and it’s done wonders for my skin.
When using this exfoliator I find my skin feels ultra smooth afterwards and normally stays that way now.
The first month was a little rocky as I was experimenting to find what suited my skin the most, and moving to once a week is the perfect amount to keep my skin looking and feeling its best.
So definitely do what you feel is best for your skin if using the recommended directions isn’t working for you.
How to use
- 1st Step – Apply a small amount onto wet skin 2-3 times a week, focusing on your t-zone and avoiding the delicate eye area.
- 2nd Step – Rinse with warm water to melt away any remaining exfoliating particles.
Would I recommend this exfoliator?
Yes
Ingredients:
Golden Jojoba Oil, Ground Tapioca Root, Avocado Butter, Sea Salt, Silica, Macadamia Oil, Coconut Derived Emollient, Bamboo Silica, Elderberry Extract Açaí Berry Oil, Vitamin E, Soy Lecithin, Essential Oils of Sweet Orange Lemon and Lime

Rainforest Dew Hydration Serum
“Bring the rich, renewing moisture of the Rainforest to your skincare routine with this soothing, lightweight serum, packed with super-hydrating plant extracts to leave your skin with a dewy, youthful bounce.” – Tropic
This hydration serum from Tropic is probably my favourite product from the selection that I tried, and have found this has helped in keeping my face nice and smooth.
I can’t tell if it is the serum that is minimising my pores but since I incorporated this into my daily routine twice a day. But I have less dry patches and my pores appear smaller with my skin looking radiant.

My experience using the serum
The serum from Tropic Skincare feels nice and light on the skin.
I use 3 droplets straight onto my face, then I use my fingertips to massage it in.
What I love is that this serum sinks into the skin quite quickly. After about 10 minutes I can put my makeup on and it looks great!
Plus, since I have started using this serum, I don’t use a primer anymore before makeup and it lasts longer than ever before and looks like a more even finish.
I am pleasantly surprised at how much this serum has worked for me, it really is a staple in my skincare routine that helps keep my skin hydrated.
It is lightweight, fast absorbing and has genuinely worked for me.
How to use
- 1st Step – Pat 3-6 drops onto freshly cleansed skin once or twice daily.
- 2nd Step– To refill, remove the lid from the Refill Bottle and replace with the pipette from your empty bottle.
*Do not wash the pipette, avoid using it across different products and make sure you dispose of the pipette after 12 months of use.*
Would I recommend this hydrating serum?
Yes!

Bamboo Cloth
I was also kindly sent a Bamboo cloth to try out and I love using this with the cleanser as it helps take all the make-up off when cleansing.
The cloth is naturally antibacterial and helps to gently buff away dead skin cells.
It feels really soft and I like that once it has been washed, it looks good as new.
I would definitely recommend picking one up if you haven’t already because it is great and you can never have enough cloths, right?.

How to use
- 1st Step – After applying your Smoothing Cleanser, place the cloth under hot water and wring out excess water to make sure it’s not soaking wet.
- 2nd Step – Place the hot cloth over your face to warm and open your pores to allow for better cleaning.
- 3rd Step – Gently massage away the Smoothing Cleanser using the face cloth to reveal soft and polished skin.
How to care for your cloth
Always rinse your Bamboo Cloth after use and hand-wash with a mild soap/detergent once or twice a week.
Do not put the Bamboo Cloth in the washing machine or tumble dry to keep it in the best condition.

They sound like really lovely products. Skincare as we get older is definitely important and I've had a skincare routine since I was 17 with a morning and night routine for my skin and this will definitely go through life with me. It's something about looking after your skin that makes you feel so fresh, clean and pampered!
