Review │ Intergalactic bath bomb by Lush

Today's post is a review of the Intergalactic bath bomb by Lush.

From the get go, Intergalactic scored very high for me, Its design is just beautiful and the smell is definitely out of this world plus it has popping candy integrated in with all its amazing ingredients, who couldn't love this? When Lush had announced they were taking exclusive oxford street products and putting them into more lush stores I was ecstatic! As I said before in my review of The Experimenter, The top three bath bombs on my list were, Intergalactic, The Experimenter and Frozen. So for me to buy these made me beyond happy and I was certainly ready to use them.

On first impressions, Intergalactics design is very beautifully executed with a vivid blue being the dominant colour here and pink, yellow and white scattered throughout this bath bomb it looks like a galaxy within itself, so to me the design fits perfectly with the name, I feel like I could take this bath bomb and be transported to another planet and I guess that's the aim of this one, right?

Intergalactic smells phenomenal in my opinion. At first I did struggle with the scent as I felt like it was very reminiscent of a male washing product but I soon got over that after a few minutes once I let the smell sink in. The peppermint is so dominant with this bath bomb, there is no mistake that peppermint oil has been infuses into this product, it's very clear from the first sniff. The minty, refreshing scent of this bath bomb really transports you to another place, I don't know why but I first thought of a rain forest and I mainly put that down to the Herbal essences mint shampoo advert of the woman showering in the rain Forrest and I don't know why, maybe it's because they have a minty shampoo. I guess my brain put two and two together and I got that. The scent is very powerful so if you aren't into dominant scents then this bath bomb may not be for you. It's uplifting and strong, so far this product has made me so egar to try it.

When I put this bath bomb into the water it just exploded with colour and glitter! The popping candy was going mad creating so many crackling noises with a smell that was completely out of this world! I can say wholeheartedly that I was indeed swimming through a galaxy of my own in my mind and I was most definitely the Queen of it.

Bright colours were flowing into my bath water, pinks, yellows, blues all filled the tub with sprinkles of glitter throughout, I was amazed, this bath bomb was shaping up to be my favourite and fast. If you like a beautiful contrast of colours and glitter oozing from the bath bomb during its fizzing moments in your bath that leaves a gorgeous shade of blue with glitter flowing through it when it has all fizzles out, then this is your bath bomb for sure. I felt like a beautiful mermaid swimming in a deep blue sea once my bath bomb had finished because the shade of blue I was laying in was just exquisite. So try this bath bomb and see the beauty in it yourself.

Since the scent was so prominent with this bath bomb before it was even in the water I thought that maybe the scent would fade a little but I was very, very wrong. Once this bath bomb was in the water the smell popped even more! I could t believe just how strong it was and for the first time in so long I felt like I could breath properly, as if my airwaves had been completely opened up. The minty fresh scent was just beyond words, I even shouted Grant into the bath room to smell it because of how much it wowed me! The scent remained in the bathroom for the rest of the night, any time I went into the bathroom after my bath I could still smell it, it is definitely a scent that lingers. The scent was also on my skin for a while which was lovely, I kept smelling my arm throughout the night (I did get strange looks from grant because of this) But how could I not? It was just amazing. I honestly can't rave about this scent enough, because for me it was amazing, it's everything I want in a bath bomb.

Intergalactic has peppermint oil in it so it leaves your skin feeling soothed and a little tingly which was a great after experience because I was not expecting it once I left the water. This bath bomb also leaves your skin feeling super soft and hydrated, I felt like my skin was in great condition after the experience because the bath bomb is very moisturising with the ingredients it has.

All in all this bath bomb shot it's way to the top of my favourites list of lush bath bombs, once I used it I really wanted to run out and buy a dozen more, that's how much I liked it. It's scent is great, very refreshing and uplifting plus the look is simple yet executed well with the contrast of the vivid colours. The experience you get with this bath bomb has definitely left me wanting more, I would use this bath bomb every bath time if I could. Try it for yourself, see how you like it.

If you give this bath bomb a try, let me know how your experience went! I would love to know what you thought of Intergalactic.

So what do Lush say? "Ever wondered what bathing in deep space would be like? Invite the cosmos into your bathroom with this sexy, interstellar bomb and become the guardian of your own galaxy. An awesome mix of refreshing peppermint and neon colour sends your mood rocketing, while popping candy takes you on a trip around the Milky Way. Constellations swirl and pop, creating vibrant lustre vortexes in the night sky. Before you leap too far, rogue layers of vetivert and cedarwood take hold, evoking the warmth of human contact far from home and a hint of 80s aftershave. Return from your intergalactic brief encounter as the grounding scent brings you gently back from orbit."
