First Impressions of the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb

The Sex Bomb bath bomb always caught my eye in store when I would go in, but I just never picked it up for some reason.

I mean, that name right? It instantly pulled me in and I just couldn’t ignore it.

And the design may seem simple compared to others, but it’s stunning.

It feels like a treat before you even use it and thatโ€™s exactly what you want from a bath product.

So, this last visit to Lush I decided to commit and put it in my basket.

And oh boy am I glad I did.

Scent Review of the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb

Letโ€™s talk a bit about the scent because the Sex Bomb bath bomb really surprised me!

It blends:

  • Jasmine
  • Ylang ylang
  • Clary sage

These notes create a soft, floral spa like fragrance. It feels calming and it’s not overpowering.

Iโ€™ll be honest though, years ago I didn’t enjoy the scent as much, It felt weak and forgettable.

Now however? It smells absolutely amazing.

Lush has clearly improved the formula as the scent feels stronger and lasts a good while too.

It fills the bathroom quickly and creates a relaxing atmosphere for sure. If you love a relaxing floral bath bomb for stress relief, this one certainly delivers.

The jasmine stands out the most to me with this one. It smells fresh, slightly sweet, and very calming which I ADORE.

*2026 Update: I still enjoy the scent of Sex Bomb, however the last couple I’ve used haven’t had the strong scent that lingers unfortunately.

What Happens When You Use the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb

The moment you drop the Sex Bomb bath bomb into your bath, it sinks.

Yep, it goes straight to the bottom.

That surprised me the first time I won’t lie. I’m definitely someone who enjoys a bath bomb that gives a show.

Unfortunately Sex Bomb isn’t a strong contender in that category.

However, I do like to lift it slightly to enjoy the full fizzing effect. Itโ€™s worth doing if you love bath visuals like myself.

The Sex Bomb bath bomb fizzes quite quickly too. It doesnโ€™t last as long as some others like Intergalactic Bath Bomb or Big Blue Bath Bomb.ย

Nonetheless, it creates a nice bathing experience.

The water turns a beautiful shade of pink and looks absolutely magical which earns this bath bomb points for me.

It gives total mermaid vibes so I’m obsessed. If you love aesthetic baths, youโ€™ll enjoy this one as well for the colour.

Skin Benefits of the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb

The Sex Bomb bath bomb doesnโ€™t just look pretty though, It also leaves your skin feeling AMAZING.

It contains soya milk powder, which helps soften and soothe your skin and it definitely works!

After the bath my skin felt:

  • Smooth
  • Soft
  • Lightly hydrated

My skin didnโ€™t feel dry or tight after my bath and thatโ€™s always a win isn’t it?

If youโ€™re searching for a bath bomb for soft skin and relaxation, this one works so beautifully.

Does the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb Help You Relax?

The Sex Bomb bath bomb focuses on relaxation and stress relief, but does it deliver?

The blend of jasmine, clary sage, and ylang ylang helps calm your mind, and I feel this bath bomb does do that.

Apparently Jasmine has been linked to mood boosting effects and some people even call it an aphrodisiac.

So, did it put me โ€œin the moodโ€? Not a bit.
Did it help me relax though? Absolutely.

I felt calmer, lighter, and less stressed after my bath, and thatโ€™s exactly what I needed.

If you want a bath bomb to unwind after a long day with, this one delivers.

It’s like stepping into a little sanctuary that’s just yours to revitalise yourself in.

The Rice Paper Rose in the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb

Now, letโ€™s talk about the one thing I didnโ€™t love about this bath bomb, shall we?

The Sex Bomb bath bomb includes a cute little rice paper rose on top.

It looks beautiful while it’s dry, and I personally expected it to dissolve completely, but it didn’t.

Instead, it floats around the water and slowly breaks apart in chunks.

By the end, its been turned into a soft, slightly messy clump of goo.

If it doesn’t go down the drain with the water, cleaning it out can be a bit annoying.

It doesnโ€™t ruin the experience though, but it does add extra cleanup.

Pros and Cons of the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb

Hereโ€™s a quick breakdown of the Sex Bomb bath bomb:

Pros:

  • Beautiful pink bath water
  • Relaxing floral scent
  • Leaves skin soft and smooth
  • Great for stress relief

Cons:

  • Fizzes quite quickly
  • Rice paper rose creates mess
  • Sinks instead of floating

Overall, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives for me with this one.

Final Thoughts on the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb

So, is the Sex Bomb bath bomb worth buying?

Yes, especially if you love relaxing, floral baths.

It smells beautiful, feels calming, and leaves your skin super soft.

It creates a peaceful, spa like experience at home and its great.

Iโ€™d love a longer fizz and less cleanup though. However, I do genuinely enjoy using it.

If youโ€™ve been eyeing it up in-store, take this as your sign!

Go ahead and try it yourself, you just might end up loving it more than you expect.
