October To Do List | 2021 Edition

October To Do List | 2021 Edition
It’s here, it’s finally here! My favourite month of the entire year, October is here!
I ADORE Halloween and all things spooky, I love how autumn makes me feel and brings back memories and I just love getting into the horror spirit. October at my house is firmly known as Hallotober because I believe Halloween is a month in it’s own right, not just for one day. So, we like to be extra spooky this month to keep the cheer up and let loose.
Although I should point out that every day of the year I enjoy all things horror and spooky, but it feels like the world is joining in when Hallotober hits. I think that’s why I love it so much, everyone else’s joy rubs off on how I feel and it tends to be the most productive month out of the whole year.
Anyway, I could go on and on about this! so let’s just jump right into my October to do list shall we?
Attend the Family Get Together at a Lodge
I am so excited for this one! And I’c cheating a little because as this post goes live, I will actually be away at the lodge relaxing and enjoying a hot tub. But, I wanted to put it on the list because I am SO EXCITED to get some time away to a beautiful lodge in Scotland.
Decorate the House for Halloween
Now that it is officially Hallotober, I can decorate the whole house! This is one of my favourite things to do at this time of year and little bear is excited for this as well. It will be lovely pulling out the boxes filled with the decorations. That feeling just hits me and I feel like I’m finally *Home*.
Side note: I can’t wait till we buy a house because it’s going to have so many “Halloween” items all year round.
Bake Some Tasty Treats
When October hits I know it’s time to start baking. For some reason I enjoy baking from autumn through winter and when spring hits, I I don’t touch any of it until autumn again. I don’t do this on purpose, it’s a pattern I’ve started notice over the last few years which makes me chuckle a little.
I have got some ingredients in already but I have a few more bits to get then it will be baked goods heaven in my house.
Carve Pumpkins
Can’t do Halloween without carved pumpkins! Little bear is super excited for it this year. Although he does like to pull all the inside out then mash it up with his hands more than he enjoys carving.
I’m hoping that I can get my hands on some small pumpkins this year as well. I’d quite like to paint them instead of carving.
Dance in the Rain
In my post 30 Things To Do Before 30, I spoke about wanting to dance in the rain, so hopefully that can get ticked off this month! After all, Scotland really is wet this time of year.
Have a Movie Marathon Night
With it being “Horror Month” I am so excited to set up a movie night. This year I am creating a theme, decorating my room and choosing some absolute classics in the horror category.
Combining my love for Halloween and all things spooky with a movie night fills me up with joy to the point I’m not sure I could describe it.
Celebrate 1 Year of My Small Business
Come October 19th I will be celebrating one year of opening my small business, JordanneLeeCreative. Although there is still so many things I want to do and improve on, I’m so proud of myself for getting this far. It honestly means the world that I have had so much support from the amazing blogging community with it. I have no words to explain how grateful I am for every order.
And that’s my October To Do List!
I wanted to keep things fun and themed this month as much as possible. The excitement I have right now writing this post thinking about everything we are going to do this month is unreal. I think by now you all get the point of just how much I love this time of year haha.

The lodge and hot tub sound amazing… and so does doing some extra baking. I love to bake and the Fall is my favorite time of year to bake. I am so excited for all of your October plans, have so much fun!!
This sounds like a pretty neat October if you can do even a couple of these! “Hallotober”, I love that. I used to do movie marathons year-round and loved it when it came to Halloween because scaries are my favourite since I first started watching them (age 7 – at least the likes of Psycho & Chucky didn’t do me any mental harm 😂). These last few years I’ve lost all that sense of joy and I don’t seem to have the time for anything, so your post have sparked my motivation. I want to make some time to chill, watch movies, bake more cookies.
I hope you’re having (or had, not sure what day you get back) an amazing time at the lodge & enjoyed spending some quality family time together! Get back, put your feet up and decide what films to watch, what pumpkin designs you want to carve and what goodies you want to bake!

Halloween is the best time of year! I love all things spooky and decorating and movie nights are a must. The lodge sounds AMAZING and I hope you have a wonderful time! And today is Oct 19th! Congratulations on 1 year!!!
I have always wanted to visit Scotland!
Halloween is also my favorite time of the year to celebrate and once I finally have my own house (or apartment) it will be all spooky all year long!
